Good luck with that.

Bama has beaten like 8 teams with 8 or more wins. Their resume smokes any other team in the country, dude. Give it up.

Won't matter because Bama is going to get dick slapped by Florida and end up in the Sugar Bowl

But with their luck that will happen and they still will get in at the 4th spot

You can laugh and deflect all you want but you can't argue it. Your best win is, I guess LSU? OU and Michigan State each have at least 3 better wins and Clemson has 2.

I guess if your argument is you have beaten more mediocre teams then you'd be right but at the highest level of college football it's really a 4-5 game season and the rest is just filler.

Valid point about the QB's, though the Tide did play down to the competion a couple of times also. In fairness, offensive injuries kept LSU from being the best team the Tide faced and the Tide's own ineptitude turnover-wise cost them the OM game. OM does deserve to be called the best team the Tide faced this season but look what Florida did to the Rebs. It will be interesting to say the least come playoff time. It's possible that all of the other participants will have better QB play than the Tide, though Coker has ability and is capable of making plays.

Doesn't matter, in the playoffs.

You sure about that? Just yesterday you said:

Hey Florida fan? New flash here I wouldn't be trying to bash any fan base based off of what your team did this year playing in the shitty East. Your team will get smoked by Bama

Make up your mind.

I love when people say just shut down Henry and make Coker beat you. Do you not think every opposing DC has tried to do that every game this year? Unless you have Bama's front 7 you will have to load the box to slow Henry down. Then put your corners and safeties on an island and watch them get torched by Stewart or Ridley or Mullaney. I like the odds that Coker can make enough throws and that our receivers can beat man to man to kick that frickin plan to the curb.

Bet the fricking farm this week. LSU and Buga are steam rolling their way through Tuscaloosa. OM hung 43, FORTY THREE, points on thier shite tastic defense. LSU unleashes the secret playbook, Buga throws a jump pass and LSU wins 31-10...

We'll all just have to wait and see how things shake out won't we?

Alabama consistantly puts themselves in position to compete for championships. What more can college football fan ask for?

When was the last time a team made it to back to back SEC Championship games?

Oh, we're laughing, that's for sure. Haven't stopped since Saturday evening.

People who make a helluva lot more than you and I and get paid for their rankings most certainly can and do argue it, so there's that.

...and this shite that we haven't faced a real QB like Clemson or OU??? They haven't faced a defense the caliber of Alabama's either.....

No I'm telling you Michigan State's resume is better (2 wins vs top 25). Oklahoma has 3 wins over teams currently in the top 25. Alabama has 1

Can we expand that to top 40 teams and compare? Sorry I cant hear you

Yes. If Alabama blows out a team in the playoffs, I will admit how wrong I was.

I don't see it though. If Cook plays, I think MSU wins a close one. IF he doesn't I think Alabama wins a close one

No doubt, and like I said I think you guys will win it. I was simply responding to a poster who asked to name teams with a better resume.

Which is why computer formula's for things like this are completely ridiculous.

Like I said alabama has played less terrible teams than some of the teams ahead of them but they have also played less really good teams.

Let's say you have six games and Teams A plays 3 top 15 teams and then three bottom 80ish teams and Team B plays 1 top 15 team 4 top 50 teams and 1 bottom 80 team.

The averages probably work out in favor of Team B but Team A's path to winning all those games is much more challenging.

Again, I'm not slighting alabama so I don't know why some of you are getting so upset about it. The SEC is bad this year, that's a fact. Unfortunately my team is a big part of that. Fortunately for you guys none of it matters because you did enough to get in the playoffs and that's all that matters in the end.

If this is how you feel about it, then there doesn't need to be any poll that ranks any teams throughout the year until the playoff committee announces theirs before all conference championship games. Because a team can only play the teams on their schedule. The way I see it, according the the rankings at the time Bama played them, they are 5-1 against teams in the top 20, with 3 wins against top 10 teams when they played them.

Argue and deflect all you want to, but there were AP polls and coaches polls that thought these teams were ranked according to how good they were at the time Bama played them. Can any other team in the top 6 compare?

Rankings at the time Bama played these teams.

I mean pre season and early season polls have been derided for years because of their fallacies. I mean unless you think Auburn was ever a top 5 at any point in this season.

I mean UGA, LSU, and A&M were in the top 10 that tells you all you need to know. That is two awful and one average team.

Florida isn't a top 50 team.

That is how everybody see's them NOW, but at the time Bama played them, if you are honest, did you not think these teams were worthy of their rankings?

And I agree about Florida, but they are 10-2. Their defense is why they are ranked as high as they are.
