.....why?
Most don't want Campbell and Odom, so who do you want and why?(let's leave Miles and maybe Richt off this list)

I don't have a problem with Odom. As long as there's an understanding that the offensive staff will be changed, I'm willing to give it a shot.
I absolutely cannot watch that offense next year, no way no how.
My absolute want is Patterson. He's established a great program at TCU, and understands what that entails. He'll make Mizzou better, and can move the program forward.

@slmandel: BC finished 0-8 in the ACC with the No. 1 defense in the country.
Odom wasn't the only DC with a terrible offense.

I would love Patterson. I'd be excited about Herman but a bit leery. Fedora...meh. I wouldn't be upset.
I'm just trying to be realistic.

Not Odom. We need an offensive minded coach to turn this shite around.

Petrino, only if we keep Kul and/or Odom plus Ivey.
Patterson.
Miles, if available.
Herman.
Fuentes, sounds like he's gone.
NO assistants without HC experience.

You really think Petrino gets Mizzou to the next level?

I'll take Troy Calhoun.

Yea as a service guy there's no way he's leaving that job. It's a completely different kind of place.

Chip Kelly, but I don't know if he would leave his present position for a school like Mizzou. I think he may wind up at LSU if the Miles thing holds true. That leads me to two real possibilities. Miles or Petrino.
Why Miles. Miles is a proven winner in this conference. He knows exactly what it takes to beat the big six in conference. He is also a good recruiter. He'll get who it will take to win. He balances his teams well. He will get rid of the "scat back" style offense. He also comes without so much extra baggage. In my mind he optimizes what a head coach should be, tough, agressive and experienced. Besides Kelly, I think he would give Mizzou it's best chance for an immediate turn around.
Why Petrino. For much the same reason as Miles. But where he lacks in the defensive side of the ball he makes up with on the offensive side. He's a hell of an offensive minded coach and would do wonders with Lock and recievers. He should try to hold onto Odom and staff on the D-side of the ball. I think he'd be successful. I'm not sure on his recruiting aility, but he seems to do fine with what he gets. He does come with baggage and a I think 10 million release buyout though and I don't know if he's worth that pricetag. He is a winner though and gives his teams a chance to win everytime they play.
Don't want Herman if what was said is true. That being his final destination is the Texas job.
Campbell, I could live with just like most of the others including Odom. I look at it this way. They, being the powers that be, want to go to the next level. That tells me they seen the program plateau with Pinkel. They know they are not where they need to be in this conference. They have outwardly said they want to take the next step. In order to do that, they can't waste too much time with a MAC level type HC hire or a coach with little to no experience. Charlie Strong is a prime example. It would be starting over. So they really need a guy that can make a quick turn around. Miles is that guy. Get him and keeping the current recruiting list intact doesn't matter anymore. If they want to fly, let'm. Miles can probably improve every position player on that list.
