Will Kentucky finally make a bowl? :UPDATE:

Must win game for the Wildcats against Louisville this weekend. Can Stoops finally get Kentucky to a bowl for the first time since 2010?
Or will they fizzle out after a strong start for the second straight year? The game is at Kentucky so that helps somewhat, but Petrino is a much better coach. Tough call but I think Louisville wins a close one, 33-30.
Stoops' seat may start to heat up if he can't win this one. No way they can him this year though, too many jobs open.

If they don't make it I will laugh my arse off. Having said that, basketball season has started so I don't think you will get much of a reaction out of most Kentucky fans.

I really hope they whip Louisville but they phoned it in against Vandy despite Vandy being a great D. UKs defense was just non-existent.

UK's defense played really well against Vandy. Vandy scored 21. Seven of those came off of a pick 6, while another seven came off of a fumble at our own 3. The final seven can be accounted for by a trick play.
UK's offense shite the bed vs. Vandy and was repeatedly turned back from the one yard line.

Louisville are god awful there's no reason they shouldn't beat them.

Death, taxes, and another Stonehog thread about UK Football.

I want Louisville to lose more than most Kentucky fans.

We'll make several bowls before arky becomes relevant again in anything that matters.

Thanks for stating yet another UK thread. It's flattering really.
With that said, an average Louisville squad at home with a bowl on the line, should be a win UK needs to pull off.

I am not here to troll. Well... I'll troll if its Kentucky basketball.
I really did think Kentucky was about to turn the corner and with the East in chaos have a solid shot at making it to Atlanta.
Instead we have another middle to late season collapse from the Wildcats.
I am not trolling Belle, Mike, and the other Kentucky football fans who have weathered these storms when I say this... its unacceptable.
No, Kentucky football probably will never match Kentucky basketball, but the pieces are there to be a very solid program.
Kentucky is not a bad recruiting ground and there are some solid football states next door to hit as well. A well coached Kentucky team can absolutely win the East if the pieces fall into place and, if the comets align that particular season, even make some noise on the national scene.
He has done yeoman's work but I don't think Stoops is the guy to lead Kentucky to the promised land in football.

With the caveat that once basketball season really starts (football isn't dead yet) I will be wishing Kentucky's doom.... what do you guys up there think about the football program right now?
Yes, I admit, I'm asking an honest question in a troll thread. But I really do think that Kentucky could put the pieces together and win the East.
Is Stoops the guy?

We have to remember that Mark Stoops is as green a coach as his young team are players. There's no heat to his seat and won't be for a few more seasons.
We were very patient with Rich Brooks and that led to some good seasons and a revival of our football program. Mitch Barnhart should never have let Joker Phillips succeed Brooks but that's in the past now.
We could have had Petrino but he proved to be a disaster for the Arkansas program. It's better that he's at Louisville. He and Pitino might destroy that school. Not that I'm wishing that or anything.

You would have had 3-4 really good seasons, maybe even one great season. Then it would have crashed down around you and left Kentucky football in a grave. Stoops may not be the guy, but he is a much better choice then Petrino.

No, you brought this shite on yourself. Talking all that shite about Tennessee earlier this year instead of knowing your role, and shutting your mouth.
And what happened? I'll tell you what happened. Tennessee flat out BRICKED in your mouth, as usual.

His seat will be on fire if he loses to Louisville again. That makes 2016 his make or break year.
