Our glorious Saban success has taken place entirely within the Barack Obama administration, which will end in 2016 (or will it? muahahah!). The best Alabama ever did under Bush in office was 2008, winning the west and then crapping out vs Utah. 2009 rolls around and it's crystal footballs and 10 win seasons.

Looking back... when have we not be our awesome selves? During GOP administrations. 1992.... or should I say the 1993 Sugar Bowl... year 1 of Bill Clinton and we were a good football team all the way up until the bottom came out.... in 2000.

1980s? Morning in America with Reagan.... not at Bama.

1970s? Alabama went off on the SEC, nationally won their back to back titles in the heart of Carter days.

The first year of JFK was the Bear's first title and he came away with two more during LBJ's watch.

Two titles under FDR (well.... titles is pretty loose here since, hello 1941)

of 15 claimed titles..... 4 have come during Republican watch. and 3 were before WW2, back when the GOP was the more progressive of the 2 party system (the other was 1973 during Nixon).
