Yeah. It's a shame we couldn't get beat today so Richt would be gone. Any good UGA fan would hope we lose, right?

If we win out, he deserves to keep his job. I mean, I'm on the fence, but you can't fire a guy after a 10 win season with no QB and his best player got hurt.

I'm not mad we won, but figures now when we're eliminated from contention we win
And if you don't think Schotty needs to go then you're insane

“I think we got so caught up in the moment. We weren’t really able to be who we are,” Houston said. “We’re focusing on the championship, focusing on all the outside stuff. And with that being gone, I think we were able to live in the moment, play in the game, have a good time. That’s when you do really good at football. That’s when it shows. Today we were all playing with a lot of energy.”

There are an awful lot of our fans who feel exactly that way. It is a dammed shame they can't simply enjoy beating fricking Auburn.
This seasons as fricked as a soup sandwich. The program is teetering on the edge of becoming completely irrelevant. None of that makes a difference after beating Auburn. Enjoy the win and frick the negativity. There is plenty if season left to bitch about shitty coaching...and no mistake we have it in spades...but just fricking enjoy another win against Auburn.

I just hope we can keep Pruitt.

This.
Although it would have been nice to be competitive with Alabama and Auburn.
He'll get at least another 2 or 3 years

Keeping Schott is indefensible IMO. (But so was retaining Willie as long as we did.)

No, he doesn't.He had little to do with any limited success we had this season except for the SC game.
This administration and key supporters won't put up with another Martinez scenario.About a 10% chance he's around next season among other changes on the staff.

his job is not "safe"..he's not being graded on record, but on significant improvement of the program (which he can demonstrate on the defensive side of the ball)..obviously nothing will occur until after the season..if it does at all..

I was referring to Richt. I hope Schotty is gone.

Beating rivals like Auburn and Tech will keep him safe rather than record by itself.

I said on here awhile ago, if you are going to fire Richt, it needed to have been after a loss. Otherwise, you really are t doing yourself any favors. Richt rarely loses down the stretch and it's really hard to justify firing someone who goes 9-3.
I would hope Schotty is released but IDK

We will be the only 10-3 team not deserving of a ranking after beating all the SEC bottom feeders.

I know one beat reporter whose covered national championship teams thing that Georgia's problem has been mental. He said the team and fan base put so much pressure on themselves that they don't play with any fluidity. FWIW

As we like to say out here in West Ga... "Bullpussy"...

quote:Richt is in charge of the program and someone should be held responsible for not getting us a qb after Murray left. Sure we had attrition, but what team doesn't? Also how many teams undersign like Richt has, which has cost us games.
but you can't fire a guy after a 10 win season with no QB and his best player got hurt.
Who cares if we win 10 games but shite the bed again in the two biggest games of the season then have a let down game vs a shitty TeNN team. How does 10 wins cancel this out when it happens every god damn year with Richt? We will never win the Natty if we got Richt around and 10 wins ain't cutting it to get embarrassed in the biggest games of the season.
