Serious Questions RE: Mizzou

***Keep the political bullshite out of this thread, unless you want a brick thrown at you.***
1.) Is it really a possibility that this strike carries over to next Saturday?
2.) If it does, can Mizzou field a team?
3.) If they can't, and have to forfeit the game, besides the $1 Million that would be owed to BYU, what other financial ramifications would Mizzou be looking at?

If it does, we can only field for Ironman ball. And we will get out arse firmly trounced.
It's more likely that we won't be able to field a team for the Tenn. game. Unless this fricking Butler guy dies quick.

I don't know the answer to these questions, but the fact that they even have to be asked means Mizzou should be booted from the SEC, immediately. Not even UT has ever embarrassed us this badly.

There will almost certainly be an agreement worked about before Saturday. Honestly, if their president can't do that, he should be fired. The Governor is already putting pressure on him.

Yea, I feel like nobody has really started asking football related questions about this because it was be "inconsiderate" or "insensitive" or "not paying attention to what really matters" or whatever, but I'm fascinated by that part of it.
Seriously, is Missouri just going to have to forfeit the rest of their games?
Gotta say, this will be interesting going forward, because what this does show is if you get a majority of players to strike for something..........some really rich people and schools are going to start sweating their asses off.

I expect he is sneaking oreo's when nobody's looking but at least there is "some hope".

I'd assume there is some obligation to the SECN for providing games but I don't know exactly how that would work.

V&S you asked the, pardon the expression, million dollar question. And yes, throw that brick at the motherfrickers thinking its a troll.
Also... you know once we asked you to throw a brick a Bert he's started winning games. Think you could keep throwing bricks at him to keep him motivated?
I've seen when you choose to troll, this isn't it. I think Mizzou works out something before Saturday. If not... well they take a forfeit and there we have it.
I doubt this lasts much more then a week or so. If it does, well then the SEC supports Mizzou while they work this out in house.

This. Letting them in was a mistake.

1. Corporate sponsors. They have case for damages most likely. At the minimum they will bail and pull out of future support, stop sending payments, etc.
2. Local businesses. Can vote with various means of support the university has counted on. Also they can pack up and move or whatever. Less goods and services means less attraction for people to attend.
3. Lack of credibility. The value of a degree from that university is taking a major hit. If any shenanigans are discovered like the swastika is fake or whatever, that university is going to suffer in public opinion for a decade or longer.
4. SEC could elect to withhold funds distribution or worse, just boot them from the conference. I have a feeling that if the SEC does not take action soon, they will be forced to later. TV networks won't cover a program like this because they will suck so bad and sponsors won't pay for commercial time.

You will see this spill over to other campuses is what will happen. These groups don't negotiate, they terrorize.
Mizzou needs to realize something, lose or lose big. Squash it now and regroup and garner the support from the rest of the conference.

No. No way. Never. Nunca. Nadia. Nyet. The other 13 institutions are not going to be punished because a bunch one guy is on a hunger strike and a collection of football players and coaches refuse to go to work because of it.
If Mizz was traveling to Arky this weekend and couldn't field a team and your local business depended on that surge of income, or Arky depended on gate revenue, concessions, and so forth - tell me how much support you'd have.

All I know is I wanna see Keanu Reeves QB for mizzou.

Beyond football, I want to see if white high school seniors see what's going on at Mizzou and say "frick that, I'm going to Purdue."
I can tell you with absolute certainty that if my kid were planning to go to Mizzou, I wouldn't be picking up the tab for that shite show.

If Mizzou has fifty players willing to play ... then let'em play. The NFL has proven that you only need 45.
Your traveling squad is only sixty even without the pussy yankee thug boycott.
ESPN is a Yankee activist network ... so they'll love covering everything the mizzourites do.
The other power 5 conferences are laughing at us ... this pox we've brought upon ourselves by admitting the mizzourites into the conference. First the gay thing, now this. What next.
The only thing that could hurt this conference is what could come from within .... and we did it to ourselves. We stuck our greedy little peckers in the wrong STD infected cooter (the yankee state of Missouri as a whole - for a TV footprint) and now we're suffering the embarrassment of Mizzou ... it is what it is.
