Tiger Walk -- Most Copied Tradition in CFB

The Vol Walk. The Gator Walk. The Dog Walk. The Rebel Walk. The Mullet Walk (bammer). The Hawg (or Pig or BBQ or whatever) walk. What do these have in common? Yes, they all copied AU's Tiger Walk, which dates to the 60's, picked up steam in the 70's and culminated in 1989 when bammer (who said they would never, ever play a game at Auburn and fired the AD who finally agreed) came to town for the first time. At that walk, AU had 20,000 people and ever since then it has been a huge pre-game deal.
And the abovementioned schools aren't alone. Lot's of schools nationally have also copied it -- Virginia Tech and Clemson I can name for sure. (Clemson, of course, copied everything from Auburn: school colors, the mascot, campus layout, and Tiger Walk). In fact, I can't turn on ESPN nowadays and NOT see a school doing it, so the list of copycats is very extensive.
Pretty much everyone does it and most of them seem ignorant of the fact that they are copying Auburn (which is extremely funny, especially when you think about bammer copying AU tradition).
Ivan Maisel wrote a good article about it here: LINK
So, my SEC children, the next time you see your fans/students/cheerleaders/band lined up outside the stadium to greet the team, you have AU to thank for the idea. You're welcome.

There are older pre-game walks at Stanford and at Williams College.
From that same link. I give you guys credit for popularizing it though.

Auburn invented walking!
Little known fact, every other school rolled to the stadium before the 60's. Though to be fair some crawled.

3rd most copied tradition... Naming your team tigers. Way to go you unoriginal frick.

Auburn is also the only school that can't figure out wtf their mascot should be. You say you're the Tigers, yet you have an eagle flying around and call yourselves plainsmen.

What a stupid thing to brag about.
How miserable it must be to have such a shitty season going, that THIS is what you are hanging your hat on
I'm embarrassed for you

OK, I'll bite. What does an elephant have to do with the tides of the ocean? What does an old hound dog have to do with Volunteering? What does a duck (Ibis bird) have to do with a hurricane? What does a weird bear/sasquatch looking creature have to do with a nut grown on a tree (Ohio State). And what the frick even is Stanford's mascot? Why do they have a man dressed up in a tree costume? First they were Indians, then Cardinals and now they are still Cardinals but added a tree.

Auburn invented players walking into the stadium?
What did other schools do before this invention? Fire them in with a cannon?

Ole miss has rebels, black bears and land sharks.
Aggies have a dog.
Georgia Tech yellow jackets have a rambling wreck
MSU has cow bells to earn the name Moo State, plus a dog.
Auburn has ONE mascot, a tiger. Our battle cry is War Eagle.

How the hell else are players suppose to get to the stadium? I mean, I guess they could crawl.

Auburn copied everything they do. Their most original thing is the amazing eagle that comes to every home game and actually soars right in front of people before the game.
War Eagle!!! But let's be Tigers like everyone else.

I'm pretty sure the only widely copied Auburn tradition is boosters paying players.
