So, Alabama doesn't count? I think they have 13 in right now versus LSU at 16...... Y'all continue to act like LSU is the only school people transfer out of, and it's ridiculous. Not only that, but the players who never saw the field are suddenly some transcendent talent as soon as they enter the portal.

ETA: ATM has 20 outgoing transfers.....your argument is invalid. When the teams that are in the playoff finish their season, they will see the same shite.

People act like LSU is the only school players enter the portal from…. This happens everywhere. Most of the players entering the portal had minimal chance to see the field…. It’s just how college football operates now…. It sucks, it’s hard to build consistent depth… but until they change the rules, if players don’t start year one with no guarantee year 2 they’re out and there isn’t anything anyone can do about that.

The complete mishandling of NIL and transfer portal rules have essentially made college a mercenary league that’s even worse than the NFL. At least in the NFL, they have contracts or can trade them for other value…. College is now just wait and transfer where you want if you don’t like the situation. No accountability for the decisions they make.

Oddly enough, that’s one of the Saints issues lately. They’re just good enough to go 9-8 or 8-9 and end up with middle of the first round picks. Takes all the major game changers off the board most seasons. They’ve been in that zone for a while now. I never advocate for tanking a season, but it’s hard to get a franchise QB picking at 15-16 every year. Unless you completely bet your future on trading up, and that usually ends up backfiring because of all the damn busts. No secret that it’s hard to find a top 5-10 QB, and who knows, Daniel’s might be fine this year and then flop moving forward. Either way, they need to start taking a hard look at quarterbacks and trying to find one that can exceed the current level of play of Carr. The guy is alright, but he’s not going to go out and just win games for you. He requires a lot of help to do that.

ETA: None of that really matters with Dennis Allen as the Head Coach.....The guy just isn't the answer. Great defensive coach, but that's about it.
