Will SEC fans warm up to Mizzou if they go through a few seasons of failure?

It's understandable why SEC fans aren't overly thrilled when it comes to Mizzou. For the last decade, the SEC was considered an infallible juggernaut in college football. When the SEC added Missouri, the experts said there was no chance Missouri could survive in the SEC. A middle of the pack Big 12 team would get destroyed in the week in-week out grind of the big bad SEC. So fine, SEC fans said at least there's another patsy in the conference for us to feast on.
But that's not what happened. Mizzou came into the SEC and has gone 16-8 in regular season conference play. They're 12-6 against the East and 4-4 against the West (including the SEC Championship Games). Sure, Mizzou hasn't been the best team in the SEC, as evidenced by the SEC Championship Games. But they've been far from the patsy you all were expecting. Mizzou came into the SEC and exposed it; an average Big 12 team coming in and winning big in the SEC.
It makes SEC fans mad...and I don't blame them! It's kind of like extending a helping hand to a refugee to come live with you, and in return they drink all your beer, shite on your floor, and sleep with your wife. And on top of it all, you're paying them over $30 million a year to do it! Sure, Alabama is still the man of the house, and we're the low-man on the familial hierarchy. But that hasn't stopped us from fricking your household up anyways. Mizzou came in like a Trojan Horse disguised as a doormat, and instead fricked your shite up.
But that's all okay. Rest easy, SEC fans. Mizzou will eventually go through their bad times. We will eventually spend several years as a dumpster fire; something I know you've all been desperate to see. Maybe it happens when Pinkel retires, or maybe when the East finally stops being "down". Hell, maybe it starts this year. Just know, we will eventually have a multi-year stretch of being a dumpster fire, and you will finally be able to relish in our failure.
But for now, tough luck. Us Yankees will continue to wreak havoc in your precious, Southern-cultured utopia. Just like Sherman did years and years ago, we'll continue our march to Atlanta and there's nothing you can do about it. So frick you, frick your team, and keep sending us the checks as you kiss our Yankee asses.

Don't worry. In the next couple seasons you guys are finally going to get a difficult slate from the SEC West. Most of the reason for you winning the SEC East is you missing the big guns from the West for a couple seasons.

No. I hate all east teams equally.

Ole Miss isn't? We have like a six game win streak against them.
Miss State will play us this year I don't think we have ever played.
And LSU has never beaten us.
So Auburn and Bama? Sounds like two teams that most teams have trouble with including LSU.

We have been beating A&M for years but now that we don't play them they are the "big gun"?

This is great. It's like we don't get to play Arkansas every year.

LSU hasn't played you in forever, certainly not since you joined the SEC, LSU is going to make your a-hole bleed in TS next year

They also said A&M wouldn't be any good.
Well we are top 2 or 3 in total wins since joining.

I have yet to be impressed with A&m's football team outside the 2012 cotton bowl since they joined the SEC

Mizzou is the third biggest failure of the east this year. They will be battling for a bowl.

Mizzou beat LSU in the 1978 Liberty Bowl for the right to be called the "True Tigers". Until you beat us, stick-it mofo!

What happened to you these past two weeks?! You are on fire.

I had no idea Mizzou was world beaters. I was under the impression they were awful in year one, and a decent team with favorable scheduling in an uncharacteristically down division in the next two years that still get destroyed when they actually had to face good teams.

Mizzou was a middle of the pack Big 12 team??? Maybe overall I guess....the years before we moved to SEC were one of the best Big 12 teams.
