He was kicked out because he was black and wearing sunglasses. Same ole Sky Bar.

I completely agree with your premise of not dressing up for a dive bar. I just disagree that SkyBar should be classified as "dive bar." It isn't super clean etc, but it is the AUburn equivalent of a club not dive bar
If you said you wore that to say Moes at night, I wouldn't have made the comment.

That is fine. We disagree. It has bar in the actual name. If they want to be considered a club, they shouldn't name it after a bar.

Not every bar would be considered a dive bar. I wouldn't compare Moes or Avondale in Auburn to Sky Bar.

I agree. Avondale isn't a dive bar and I wouldn't wear a white v neck there even though they wouldn't have a problem with it yet the lowly skybar does.
My point is, Skybar is not a dance club. It is a bar with a tiny dance floor. It is dirty and has cheap drinks. Just like a dive bar.
If you dress like a hoe, look like a hoe and act like a hoe...Don't be offended when you are called a hoe.

When's the last time you've been to Auburn? The "Boom Boom Room" is pretty dang big by Auburn standards.
My point is that SkyBar on Wed/Fri/Sat nights is not a place to casually go to drink/socialize like a traditional dive bar.

Arn't we a fancy man about town.
SkyBar sucks dick, but it is not a dive bar. Almost every college bar has cheap drinks and is dirty. That does not make it a dive bar l.
Now Balcony Bar is a dive bar.

Man you guys are sensitive. Again all I am saying is that skybar is not a nice place. it is dive bar quality clothing.I'm not sure why you guys are understanding this.
I love Auburn and come back once or twice a year. I just don't go to skybar. You guys can throw unwarranted shots at me all you want.
ETA: Anyways, this is pointless. On topic, bye Duke. Thanks for the trouble.

What is your definition of tiny? Sky Bar (even before the renovation) was the biggest bar in the southeast. The front dance floor is tiny, sure. The back is definitely not tiny.

Sorry, I am not buying that.
Have you ever been to La Vela in Panama City Beach?

Seville Quarter in Pensacola is pretty big, too.

Yes, it does suck. The biggest thing I hate about Skybar is that they bought and swallowed my favorite bar from a long time ago in Little Irelands. Now that was a shithole dive bar to go hang out at for happy hour.

And I have never been in a bar with a dance floor. Dance floor = club.....no matter what you want to name it.

The sandbar in Florence had a band room, traditional bar area, and a dance floor room.
Back to Duke. No way in hell could Duke ever be a #1 receiver in the NFL.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., an altercation occurred in the bar’s back area when a drink was thrown at another patron, though the initial incident occurs in a surveillance blind spot. Williams tried to get in the middle of the altercation, but did not throw the drink, according to sources.
At 1:49 a.m., security is seen on surveillance footage ushering Williams and wide receiver Tony Stevens away from the incident. Offensive lineman Shon Coleman, who was also in the area, is seen on film apparently trying to calm the situation down to make sure it did not escalate further as Williams and Stevens were being escorted out of the building.
Stevens is seen being ushered out by security at 1:55 a.m., while Williams is escorted out by several security guards at 1:56 a.m. through the bar’s side entrance on Wright Street. Williams appeared to be jawing at security and is seen flailing at one point, hitting an employee with a glancing blow with the back of his hand as he’s being taken to the door.
“He hit one of my guys with a backhand, and he might have thrown one or two punches, but I’ve had 10,000 worse fights in here than him,” said Shackelford, who has been in the business for two decades.
Two other employees were hit by Williams as he was led out of the bar, according to sources, but Shackelford said any hits to bar employees were “nothing major.”
Once outside, Stevens and Coleman are seen on video trying to calm Williams down in the parking lot for several minutes. No other altercation is seen on video, and according to Shackelford, no police officers were ever called to SkyBar on Saturday night.
The Opelika-Auburn News confirmed with Auburn Police Department on Wednesday by Capt. Lorenza Dorsey that Williams was not mentioned on any police report filed with the APD. Dorsey added there are no pending charges against Williams, either.
“It was definitely not a rampage,” Shackelford said

So Shackleford just wanted them gone, not get them in trouble.
