Not sure that's news.

The unit that gives us a shot is our defense.

How good is the defense? Do we really know yet?

Arky State has scored 40 points this year.

20 were scored against Mizzou

I think the East will come down to Florida and UGA.

Lock gives us a better shot at bowl game and possible 7-8 wins.

I think we are all content with that until next season.

Glad you finally made your way over here from TigerBoard.

Now, please go back to TigerBoard. Don't you have some votes to distribute just after noon?

Pretty damn good. Best secondary we have had in years. Linebackers, if healthy, are perhaps the best tandem in the conference. D-Line needs no introduction.

Kentucky played a damn near perfect game on offense and only scored 21.

Of the 50 points given up total, 20 have come off of turnovers and short fields.

17 off turnovers. 2 INTs by Mauk, 1 by Lock.

Listen up. If the fricking receivers don't catch the god damn ball when it hits them in the fricking hands, then NO we don't stand a chance.

I know. Ish Witter read this and fell to the ground.

Nice little melt for a Wednesday.

No, I don't see a path for a three-peat. It does set up well for next year though.

How about he play a game first? Also from what I've read, Mizzou WR's aren't very good either and they don't have a very strong rushing attack. Short answer is no. Nobody is stepping in UGAs way this season, except for UGA.

That about sums it up. Lock is a true freshman, this will be his first collegiate start. Let's not over-hype the kid. And CNB is right, our receivers have been awful, so has the running game. We might see improved offense play with Lock at the helm, but East contenders? No. Not this year.

Our defense was horrible against Kentucky. They gave up big plays at crucial times all game long. The middle of the field was always open and most of the time nobody was fast enough to cover the edges.

He makes us better. IMO there is no doubt about that. Strangely, guys always seem to have drop issues catching passes from Mauk. I think we'll see our WR hands improve dramatically with Lock throwing them catchable passes.

As for the East, the UK loss probably buried us and we still have a huge hole in the running game. If we were at full strength and had started Lock from day one, we'd have a chance but I don't see it at this point.

This is the dumbest saying in all of sports.

The backup is only popular when the starter isn't getting the job done. How popular are the guys in Green Bay and New England?

As for our situation. Lock outplayed him in camp, and he's outplayed him in real games.

Horrible? No, not at all. Not their best game but Kentucky also picked up our cover 2 signal and Towles played the game of his life.

The defense is easily good enough to win the East. The offense has largely been shite up until this point.
