If you actually had any idea what you were talking about, you would know that Florida matches up better with Ole Miss than Bama matched up with Ole Miss.
Florida's secondary matches up better with Ole Miss's WRs than Bama's secondary matched up with Ole Miss's secondary.
Florida's defensive line matches up better with Ole Miss's offensive style than Bama's defensive linemen matched up with Ole Miss's offensive style.
If you can't see that, you are in the wrong discussion. This is a high level football discussion that you obviously aren't capable of wrapping your head around and you provide absolutely nothing of substance to the discussion. So go flame some other thread where posters are trying to outdo each other and join their dick measuring contest. There are plenty of threads like that on this board, trust me.

4-0 has gone to your head. You match up better with us than Tennessee? You realize we are better at everything than Tennessee besides Hurd at running back right? I have never seen. Fan base this delusional on the Rant. You guys aren't good YET. Should be great in a couple of years but I don't think you match up well with us at all besides the secondary and we have too much talent to stop the passing all game. Not hating on Florida but let's just keep it reasonable. Yall may win and it would be an upset but if you prefer playing us because you think you matchup better with us, I am sorry for you.

I never said I would rather play Ole Miss than Tennessee. Our defense is more equipped to stop the pass than to stop the run.Ole Miss passes the ball and Tennessee runs the ball. That is a matchup problem with Tennessee. And a good match up with Ole Miss.
I never said Florida would win this game. I said that they have a good match up with Ole Miss and match up better with Ole Miss than Alabama matched up with Ole Miss. In fact, I put in that "Official prediction thread" that Ole Miss would win. All that being said, Florida does have a very good chance to win. This is a good match up for Florida. If you don't see that, I am sorry for you.

Florida's defense matches up well with Ole miss right now. Florida's offense DOES NOT.
Florida has players that can match up well on the outside, and they control the edges well and rush the passer well. They also have good cover safeties and a great NB, so they can cover the middle of the field pretty well.
All that = a good defense built to stop a spread team like Ole Miss.
On the flip side, UF's offense doesn't match up well with anyone because it stinks. So Ole Miss is better. Clearly. And that is why they will win. Most likely.

When did we go back in a timewarp to 2009?
If Florida's Defense is so great why were you down 13 points to Tennessee at home?
Did someone guarantee a Florida QB was going to throw for over 300 yards? Is Rex Grossman getting the start?
I remember what happened to an undefeated Florida team last year around this time, I'm expecting very similar results this year. It's about time for the soft schedule to stop and the total collapse to begin.

UF can go man-to-man with OM's receivers and have some success. That's something Bama just couldn't do.

Florida has better pass rushers than Alabama. Alabama has better run stuffers and linebackers.
I'll take my chances with Ole Miss's run game. I would rather them try to beat Florida running the ball than throwing it. Ole Miss is going to throw for 250+ because they will throw it 35 or 40 times, if not more. But if Florida can stuff the running backs the way they have all year they will be in good shape. Florida's DBs are better than Alabama's and more capable of locking down Ole Miss's wide receivers than any other secondary Mississippi will face outside of maybe LSU.

I didn't say Florida had the best defense in the SEC, I said it matched up well with what Ole Miss will try to do. Clearly UF has issues with dual threat QBs. LSU will probably utterly destroy Florida's defense.

Ole miss first two games they put up:
71 carries, 553 yards, 7.78 YPC, 9 TD (against UT Martin and Fresno St)
In the last two games against Vandy and Bama:
74 carries, 243 yards, 3.28 YPC, 4 TD
Ole Miss does NOT have the 3rd best rushing game in the SEC.
Edit - I do agree that Bama has a better front 7 than Florida though.

I agree I do not believe they are realistically the third best team in rushing, but just don't be surprised if we run the ball more effectively than you expect. Particularly if Florida plays a lot of nickel and dime packages with your linebackers dinged up. My .02 cents.
And to the OP Treadwell gets 7 catches for 85 yards. Nothing crazy, but picks up a couple huge 1st downs.

Ole Miss will get some rushing yards, over 100 for sure, of that I have no doubt unless Florida just plays out of their minds or Ole miss falls behind for some reason.
