Division 30 article

quote:

Pentagon-trained rebels in Syria are reported to have betrayed their American backers and handed their weapons over to al-Qaeda in Syria immediately after re-entering the country.

Fighters with Division 30, the “moderate” rebel division favoured by the United States, surrendered to the al-Qaeda-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra, a raft of sources claimed on Monday night.

Division 30 was the first faction whose fighters graduated from a US-led training programme in Turkey which aims to forge a force on the ground in Syria to fight against Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil).

A statement on Twitter by a man calling himself Abu Fahd al-Tunisi, a member of al-Qaeda’s local affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra, read: "A strong slap for America... the new group from Division 30 that entered yesterday hands over all of its weapons to Jabhat al-Nusra after being granted safe passage.

"They handed over a very large amount of ammunition and medium weaponry and a number of pick-ups."

So, the real question is: Who still believes that the US didn't create and isn't supporting ISIS? The only misleading word in this article is the word "betray" because Division 30 didn't betray the US...they followed orders. This is the United States way of supplying our proxy army in the Mideast.

ISIS is our proxy army in the Mideast. They are our creation. We are funding and supplying them. There is mounting evidence to support this. The linked article is just the latest evidence.

We'll allow them to frick up every country that borders Israel and then "destroy" ISIS.

You are stretching, but our country is led by idiots who would rather throw money around and train foreigners to hopefully not betray us and to dodge actually doing something about terrorists.

I wish the Government was really as smart as you people think it is.

If you think that is what's happening, you're the idiot.

So funding and supplying a proxy army is too advanced for the United States of America? I mean, we've never done that before, right? LOL

It's like people have already forgotten about Al Qaeda.

Well, you acted incredulous at the thought that the U.S. government would fund terrorist groups. We've been doing that for decades! The U.S. funded Bin Laden and Al Qaeda when they were fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan. That's a documented fact, not even up for debate.

There's an answer to all of this. Read Executive Outcomes by Eeben Barlow.*

*If the U.S. and its allies actually want to defeat ISIS.

They'll "defeat" ISIS after ISIS has served its purpose.

Also, you know why this particular terrorist group has such an easily identifiable moniker? Because Al Qaeda was too difficult for people to pronounce correctly.

We should have turned a blind eye and kept up relations with Assad. He did more to protect Christians and an iron fist is what is needed to keep peace over there. We (the administration) chose the wrong people to support.

Hmm, supply Al-Qaeda to fight ISIS, or, send our own troops in harms way?

I don't care either way, it's the necessity of conflict that we need to pay attention to.

We can't allow ISIS to get any stronger, their message bands people and is atrocious.

Proxy wars work, they're just not pretty and they make pretentious assholes out of people on the internet.

Arab Spring

1. Advocate and support shiny happy Muslims to take over from the mean old totalitarians so said Muslims can be our new, democratic buddies

2. Watch in awe as they do

3. Watch country go down in flames

4. Watch Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS take over

5. Wring hands

At least Egypt figured its shite out.

The MIC and gun runners would be a good start. All of the corporations, lobbyists, and politicians on both the left and right who make hand over fist in weapons deals. But most of all the American people for not recognizing the duopoly for what it is and thinking the President is more powerful than he really is. So they can flip the figure head and do it all over again, just as they did with the bankster bail out money. But hey ya know, if you rather... you can just be one of those idiots who think everything is Obama's fault. The system needs pawns to work.
