Question about LSU

Does Brandon Harris run much zone read? That has been our Achilles hill so far on defense. He seems to be able to run fairly well, so that could be a big part of the game Saturday.

We ran this more against MSU than I've ever seen a Miles team run.
Granted it was still MAYBE 6 or 7 plays total, but Brandon is really, really good about when to keep and gained 53 yards on 4 carries against MSU.
Harris has really good speed (4.5-4.6 kind of guy), but wont take unnecessary hits (which is good, we cant afford an injury).

Ah
So it's safe to assume LSU's gameplan will involve minimal zone read calls. Good to know.

Harris kept it 3 times from the zone read, that doesnt mean we RAN the zone read only 3 times.

i know. i just dont remember any other than the times he kept it. Must not have gotten big yardage. All 3 of Harris's keeps did really well.

Yes...Miles will limit the passing game

harris can not run it as well as Louisville or Jacksonville so you have nothing to worry about.

They don't normally do it very often, but after the JVSU game, I'm thinking we see some kind of record this week.
Honestly why was Auburn so bad at defending it? Was Carl Lawson that big of a loss? I would think they would see plently of that in practice.

What's the alternative? Pass 45 times and lose to Toledo? I'll take the limited passing game everytime.
ETA: Sorry 53 times!

I predict a lot of jet sweeps and reads

LSU ran the zone-read play 11 times for 45 yards in the 21-19 win at Mississippi State last Saturday
harris probably got 25 of those yards on his 3 carries. doesnt seem like we executed it very well when we handed it off.

Carl being out had a large part of it, but I think the bigger problem is that Muschamp spent most of spring and fall camp installing his base defense and not game planning for specific teams. Week 1, it took us by surprise because they played a QB nobody expected them to. Last week, I don't think anyone including coaches really took JSU seriously.
I bet zone read is a point of emphasis in practice this week, but who knows how that will turn out.

Did you forget last season against A&M?
Jennings ran the shite out of it for 100+ yards.
