dropping State & Tn out completely & leaving AU in is baffling to me.

No way UGA moves up three spots off yesterdays performance. Not disrespecting my Dawgs but they would fit much better around 14 or 15.

AP likes clicks so they will forever put out a poll.
But there really shouldn't be polls anymore, especially coaches polls. Let the committee do it.
Polls generate discussion and interest in the games throughout the season. They have a purpose.

UGA isn't the 7th best team in the country

Maybe it's because your big win over Arizona State was almost matched by Cal Poly. By the way, you never answered me: how did Fresno do yesterday?

i think this is a pretty accurate poll.

Notre Dame was a heave and prayer away from losing to UVA and they are at 8?

So many people so butt hurt about fluctuations, it's week 2, the poll is still a work in progress. It's less ridiculous than it was last week and next week will be slightly less ridiculous than it is now.

ND's starting QB fractured his ankle, and ND backup made that pass.
UVA has a decent defense.

I did answer you. You win some, you lose some. Buy the ticket, ride the ride. This is an Internet message board and I started a troll thread. The fact that you waited with anticipation for tRant to unlock so that you could post on that thread just as soon as possible is pretty funny though.

Out of curiosity what ranks would be different if they had studies each of the games meticulously?

Also, it's kind of creepy that you are following me around. Please stop. I'm sure there is someone out there for you, but it's not me. Okay thanks.

The fact that you think that happened is funnier. Your reasoning abilities rival your football predicting abilities.

Don't think Auburn or Mizzou belong that high
at the rate we are playing neither of us should last long in the 25, but remember many of these are the voters that predicted "AU = West champs".

Almost everyone looked bad yesterday. It's no big deal.

still completely useless and obvious that nobody watched any of the games. They are voting out of their asses....again.
AP polls are mostly worthless, journalists voting because of what comes in on the wire. Coach's poll mostly worthless, GA or SID voting according to was reported off the news that came in on the wire, plus what will help their team the most. The only worthwhile poll is a poll of Vandy fans. We have no dog in the fight and we hate Tennessee -- the two prerequisites for voting properly.

It's because the team you beat to propel you into the top 20, doesn't appear to actually be that good combined with the fact you played a nobody.
But it makes no sense to drop someone unless someone else proved better. It would be interesting to see which ranked teams threw the kitchen sink at their opponent and which ones played a heavy rotation of 2nd and 3rd stringers once the game was in hand. I saw at least two SEC teams that did the latter, while some ranked teams kept their first string in just to run up the score and "look better".

Arkansas and Auburn don't deserve to be ranked. Arkansas because we lost and Auburn because they were lucky to pull out an OT win at home against a FCS school. I'd drop Missouri, but leave them ranked, since they at least beat a FBS school on the road.
