UALR, it's time to add a football program.

They're the only Sun Belt school not to have football. That's embarrassing.

There's a 50,000 seat stadium right in your city Little Rock. If you want more football games and more opportunities to trash the golf course then UALR is your answer.

Get your schools right, get your school athletic programs right, and there's enough kids from C. Arkansas that aren't SEC quality players that UALR can field a middle of the pack sun belt team.

Better yet, just become a rogue program and take all the cast offs and thugs that you can, they'll fit in well around the campus.

Works for me. I'd rather watch them in Verizon though. I miss the arena football atmosphere we used to have.

Fayetteville won't allow that.

Would be great though.

I'd love to hear more reasoning for this comment

Its because it would make it harder to recruit the one or two SEC caliber players that come out of LR ever other year.

Better yet, add UCA to the Sunbelt and let them play at WMS.

But then UA would petition to add UCA to the UA System and we'd take away their football program.

Why?

They already have a stadium on campus.

Doesn't make sense.

Also stAte would do everything possible to block UCA from moving up to FBS and the Sunbelt.

Yeah right, any good players from LR go to school in Alabama before flaming out anyway

Makes more sense than starting a YouLeR football program from scrach.

So does the University of Arkansas, but...well, you know how that goes.

Really? You are unaware of the ongoing lack of football talent compared to other schools in the SEC west in this state? You'd love to hear more reasoning?

A. you = schitt stirrer B. really stoopid

To the OP: Umm no. If you're embarrassed about a lack of football from the UALR compared to the rest of the Sunbelt i suggest more taquitos and cheese dip or membership to the local library.

P.S. Go frick yourself

Last resort recently cut its tennis program. I doubt they would ever have the money to support a football program.

I'm very aware, thanks. In our starting lineup we have two TE and one S from Central Arkansas. Everyone else is from somewhere else, so I don't think it's going to hurt UA if UALR opens up a program

As for if UALR will only have shitty players, well, I don't really care about that. I just don't see how UA would give a frick about what happens at UALR.

It's not like DWRRS will suddenly be empty on Saturdays and WMS will be packed with Trojan fans if UALR had a team

I think they could get players that are adequate to good for their level. We're not talking SEC here, more like Sunbelt.
Probably never sell out WMS, hell the Razorbacks can't even do that and have a hard time selling out DWRRS.

UALR would probably siphon a few dollars off the flow to UAF, maybe some of the Stephens money and a few others - and that just wouldn't fly with UAF.

I thought Stephens already has pulled money now that there is only 1 LR game

I don't think UA relies on LR money a whole lot

I think Pulaski Tech should add one and be the breeding ground for all the good players that can't qualify for the SEC.
This would allow us to funnel them to the hill.

I like that too. We have too many d2 schools that have football and their supporters have blocked JUCO football it seems.

Just looking at this yesterday. Enrollment for freshman and sophomores would go up and games at war memorial and ooc pay to win games would bring in some money.

Ualr said they would need $9 million to start it up, and they would need to create more womens teams for T9.

It would lose money short term but with higher enrollment and a few winning seasons it would pay off.

There's a reason so many schools are starting football programs and investing more into their programs to become D1.

Football is a cash cow. The only one in collegiate athletics for most schools
