Which SEC West team(s) will finish 3-5 or worse in conference

Statistically speaking one or two of the 7 SEC West Teams will probably finish 3-5 or worse in the conference. That will be a very disappointing season for that program.
Last season Arkansas was 2-6 and Texas A&M was 3-5, but both of those teams are expected to be better this year as their young QBs have more experience.
Auburn and LSU were both 4-4 last season but are the choices of many experts to possibly challenge Alabama for the SECW title. However, they have inexperienced and erratic QB play respectively.
Ole Miss was 5-3 and struggled after Treadwell went down, but he is back. Miss. St. was 6-2 and has their best player returning but lost several key defensive players.
Alabama is really the only team that you can clearly say will not be in the bottom two of the SECW - mainly because of their overall talent level and defense.
If the west beats up on each other and wins most of their SECE games, there could be a bunch of 4-4 and 5-3 teams in second or third through 5th or 6th in the SECW.
I think this is one of the most wide open seasons in the history of the SECW. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

i say everyone has a 7 way tie at 3-5. alabama goes to the championship game due to alphabetical rule.

LSU, Ms. State, and Aggie.
The east will be said to be "up" with only Florida, Vandy, and Kentucky failing to eclipse 3 wins.

Arkansas and Miss State

MISIS State for one. Book it.
LSUX would be my next choice.
TAMU is always a crowd pleaser for the cellar.
But the crazy thing is that the top of the division and the bottom could be only 3 games apart.

quote:Jeremy Johnson has plenty of experience...especially considering the record of first year starters who have had two or more years of experience in the same system. Add in that he has started and excelled in every game he has played in
they have an inexperienced QB

Everyone will finish 0-8 in the west. Will be the biggest shite show from every team college football has ever witnessed. Every sec west head coach is fired and the division will face extinction.

What is his record in SEC games as a starter? I'm not saying he isn't good - he may be very good, but what pressure-filled meaningful experience does he have? Just asking??

A 5th year senior going into his 3rd year as starter is young?

Oops - I stand corrected. Must have been thinking of someone else. A better reason is that the whole program is more confident after finally breaking through late last year.

If I had to pick a SEC-W winner, it would be Alabama. However, I won't discount the possibility of them finishing among the bottom 2.

This is the correct answer.
Loser between Arky and Ole Miss will finish 3-5 in conference for the #5 spot.

JJohnson has thrown 22 FEWER passes than one JCoker. he hasn't really faced a formidable opponent under hostile situations. most of his experience is under mop up circumstances. so who really knows how good he is or may be? he could win the heisman or he could be a bust. several west teams are under the same circumstances...could be a dog eat dog season
