It's one of the biggest games of the year every year, it's usually a close hard hitting game full of penalties, UF fans are easily some of the most trashy annoying visiting fans in the country, and I was in the student section in '05 and '07 when UF's TPOS players stomped on the eye of the tiger. But I agree it's not a true rivalry which is why I ranked UF 4th. If A&M can actually start winning games against us they will probably move ahead of go gata.

Of all of our then or current perennial opponents, the only ones we had a winning record against during those five years were the 'Sippi sisters. Congratulations on beating those monstrous LSU teams that managed literally to rewrite the negative record books at LSU. In the last 19 meetings between LSU and A&M dating all the way back to 1971, Aggy has beaten an LSU team that finished with a winning record....once, in 1995, when we went 6-4-1 before winning the Independence Bowl. Awesome.
So, as soon as you can find another 4-7 or 5-6 or 2-9 LSU team to play, you should be back in business. Until and unless that happens, you'll take your one win every 44 years and like it.

i still hate tuberville's early/mid 2000s auburn teams more than any other
arky is a thorn in the side game, take them more serious since nutt left
florida is florida though they have sucked lately
ole miss is similar to arky. usually a competitive game

How will we know when they want one? Maybe they'll want the game to be played on Thanksgiving night every time it's at Kyle. You know, like they used to do when their other rival would play them. That will be the indicator, I would say. Oh, wait...

Okay since you were ~14 years old (1997), LSU has 11 wins to Ole Miss' 7. The average score through the last 18 games is LSU 27 OM 24. Looks like a pretty competitive rivalry during your time as a teenager and adult.

I'd say it's Texas A&M, Alabama, and Arkansas.
I still fricking hate Arkansas.
Ole Miss is a historic rivalry, but I think it's bigger of a deal to them than it is to us. UF has certainly died down because we just beat them every single year.

I don't think anyone can argue that OM/LSU hasn't been very competitive the last 15 years or so. Almost every game is close, and we lose our share.
That said, I don't have any vitriol for OM fans. I respect y'all's fanbase more than most in the SEC.

OM is LSU's biggest, and oldest, rival. It's going to stay that way until aTm takes a couple from LSU.

Anti-rivals
1) Ole Miss: Rival in the 80s when the newspapers fueled the rivalry by reporting all the cutdowns between us, but I like Mississippi.
2) Auburn: They hate Bama and play them hard, so I like them.
3) Florida: Friendly hotel staff, nice people.
Non-rival:
4) Arkansas: We're supposed to beat them. Only lose when the team doesn't doesn't try. Hard to care when the players don't.
Teams we just laugh at:
1) Miss St: Cowbells, lol.
2) A&M: Ghey cult, Stalinesque dorm architecture style, cowboys, yell leaders.

I hate LSU losing to OM the most, yet I respect them.
LSU losing to Arkansas makes me feel all dirty, yet I understand that it will happen once in a while.
LSU losing to Cowbell makes me feel completely and utterly disgusted.
Don't know about A&M. Doubt that I will find out anytime soon.
