I am counting down the days till he retires. I know he is a great guy but I need a real football coach. I don't want to hear he is a great coach from other schools because when I ask do you want him to be your coach yall say oh hell no. When he retires I would like to get jimbo fisher. I didn't care how he handled the jaemis Winston situation but one thing he always did at lsu was produced quarterbacks. He made josh booty All sec, Rohan daves was a beast. Won a championship with Matt mauk, won a lot with Jamarcus Russell and coached up Matt Flynn and he ended up winning a championship. Since he left the only good quarterback we had was zack metenburger. He was only good his senior year and we only got him because he was kicked off of Georgia.

I think Gary Patterson would be a scarier coach than Jimbo.

Yeah, but we're not talking about him being our coach over the last couple generations. We r talking about as of now and into the near future. LSU has waaaay more upside right now and going forward. That's one of the things ppl don't like about bama fans. Yall always looking back.

Eh I'd say it's a push, here's NCAA recognized national championships straight from their record books (obviously we don't claim them all).

I'm not a fan of Jimbo but he has made it clear he would leave FSU for LSU. He was in town earlier this summer for an event and wouldn't stfu about LSU football

LSU
1908
1935
1936
1958
1962
2003
2007

Florida State
1980
1987
1993
1994
1999
2013

no doubt all time lsu would still be ahead of fsu, i just meant over the last 30 or 40 years. two generations.

i also didnt know he had made anything clear about leaving for lsu.

im not saying he wouldnt go, it wouldnt suprise me. just wondering why. out of the frying pan, into the fire.

They're basing it off coach speak. Same as Gruden speaking about wanting to coach LSU and UT in the past few years.

In the end when Miles hangs it up, it will come down to contract details as it always does. So LSU fans should be a little less optimistic about Fisher coming to LSU. It also depends on the kind of coach our AD at the time would like. Not every AD has the same criteria in want/who they want as a HC.

Instate recruiting is incredibly rich in talent, Texas right next door, and he already has a good relationship with some LA HS.

Much respect for Les. The entertainment value of the conference will decrease sharply when he leaves. And he's a helluva HC, even with his stubbornness.

I don't but I remember reading a thread discussing it, maybe before the 2010 season

Here's a link regarding his recent BR trip though. LINK

Ok but Florida has better talent than Louisiana and Georgia is right next door.
