You don't think Louisville fans will travel to see Petrino play Auburn in Atlanta? Think about it.

If they are, they aren't buying tickets. Auburn fans are buying our tickets from their website because we are sold out. I'd say at best it will be 60/40, but could easily be 75/25 AU.

How's Cowart coming along?
Physically ready, still transitioning from hs ball to college ball mentally. My best guess is he will get about 30% of the reps opposite of Lawson early in the season and will be around 65% by the end of the season.

There will be more Auburn fans helping to exploit the Auburn athletes than there will be Louisville fans exploiting theirs. Auburn fans don't have to travel as far to participate in exploiting their athletes.

Only thing I'll disagree with is giving Auburn the coaching advantage, not because they have worse coaches than Louisville, but Auburn is replacing their defensive coordinator and it's Game 1. I wouldn't want to be breaking in a new defensive coordinator against Petrino in the first game of the year at a neutral site.

That's fair. I think it's close because Petrino really does have one of the best abilities to run an offense in college football. And even though Muschamp is bringing in a new D, I think that has to be better than what Auburn has had the last couple years because Boom's defense have been pretty good every single year.

I'm really just glad we're actually participating in football discussion. I'm so freaking ready for it to start.

Like stated, they arent buying tickets. Auburn is directing fans to Louisville's website for purchases and you can bet the vast majority of local and club level tickets will be in Auburn's favor. expect a 65/35 split

Our Defense sucked last year, and we didn't give up 37 to UGA (34).

Georgia could have named their score last year. We are lucky that it was only 34.

I still get emails from the Missouri athletic department about buying tickets since I bought 4 from them for the SEC Championship game.

I enjoyed the read, thanks. Do you do this for all of the 'big' season openers?

I also shared with her the new timeline which looks like Aug 31 week for a proposal (assuming TRB approval of the 1st offer). She is not happy. In this regard she has asked us to do a couple things.

I took my kids to the Ga. Tech vs Ga southern game in Atlanta last year because our youngest goes to Southern. The ticket office folks at Tech are like fricking stalkers. I get email at least once a week from the Jackets trying to pawn off their tix.

Do you remember that time the refs took away UGA ball inside the AU 10 to start the game? Thats 7 more points right there.

QB- Auburn- Garner is likely the starter for UofL, but he is coming off ACL surgery.
RB- UofL- Solid experience returning
WR- Auburn- UofL is replacing to much and Auburn has one of the best in the country.
OL- Auburn- UofL will likely have 4 new starters.

DL- UofL- They have experience coming back and added the former big 12 DPOY. Pio, Brown and Rankins are the real deal.
LB- UofL -they return Burgess and Kelsey and replace Mauldin with a former freshman all American Brown.
DB- push- they both have talent, but not yet proven

Punting- Auburn- no way it's worse than UofL's
Kicking- Auburn- UofL isn't bad, but not as strong as Auburns all purpose kicker

Auburn wins a close one.

Bumping for ags, thought they may want to read about their bowl opponent from back when the season was fresh and new and everyone was filled with excitement of what was to come.
