How was living in Miami? Sometimes it looks awesome. Other times, it looks like total hell

I am a history nutt. I could live in Williamsburg.

Before TnM gets here to say otherwise, it sucks
Expensive as hell, traffic is ridiculous, and as a whole the populace is just rude as shite. I'm not someone who likes large cities anyways, but the only way I'll be going back to Miami is if I'm driving through to fish the keys.

That's a big upside
There's a lot to say about Cuban women's lack of modesty.

Bro, I have just become aware that you can catch Peacock Bass in South Florida now. My company is based in Lauderdale and a friend of mine said that Peacock bass got imported to deal with the aquarium fish like Ciclids and other foreign species that have been released from the pet trade.

They are native to the Amazon and warmer climate rivers. Very aggressive. They are in the canals near Miami and have done well there. They are not very tolerant to lower water temps. Lower than 70 and they got downhill fast.
Very aggressive and fun to catch.

Anyone that hasn't heard of peacock bass doesn't really care that much about fishing. I think I've had wet dreams of being on an offshoot of the amazon in a kayak working a super spook late in the afternoon

They're a damn blast. You have to head a little south to get into them good. There's a few in some canals around Pembroke, but when we moved to Homestead they were everywhere. They don't get nearly as big here, but they still crush a topwater. Peacocks on the bed are literally the easiest fish to catch I've ever seen.

Fortunately for me, the boss is a hard arse and does not allow phones in the work shop.
I have used temps a few times from a local temp agency. They do pretty good and I keep a close eye on them.

I'm working as a temp right now myself just because it was the only way I could get the kind of hours and pay I'm getting for a job that will be over before classes start back. The head managers on the crew were pretty surprised when a temp guy showed up that had four years of college and could actually communicate basic thoughts coherently, and was also willing to work long days of manual labor

Go celebrate and drink some beers

I'm drinking some rum and watching trailer park boys. Downtown will happen next Friday when I get two weeks worth of pay
