We had a really bad issue with them about 7 years ago at our cow pastures up here. Calling em is by far the most fun way to kill em.
We have trouble every 4 or 5 years here. Guy down the road raises cattle and the coyotes kill off his younger calves. We'll set up about dusk and call them from the woods about 150 yards away and hit 'em with the 30.06. I might get my 1876 Winchester out and try to plunk one or two with it.

Got a nice 10 that was about 135 class 8 last year he is looking great real tall and he is finally adding more girth! The beast has not show on cam yet but last sighting was before he dropped his horns found one side of them this July with the lab and it measured 81 34" for 6 points. So im hoping he is a no doubt boonie this year been hunting him forever. I'll upload picks of the 10 soon.

Three of us killed over 5000 Spunk. I only shot twice due to shoulder hurting.
My cameras haven't shown a lot of horns moving in late July , guessing it's the heat. Going to pull some cards this afternoon or in the morning and see what's happening. Some of my grain sorghum plots look good, some look like shite. Bout to replant the shittiest with iron clay, turnips and rape. Should see some better pics after I tear up some dirt and get a stand of peas up.

South ga has perfect habitat to grow really big bears though, will all of the crops and food. Where I hunted mine at last year in eastern NC looked no different than south ga. Crops swamps and pine thickets. They have monsters up there.
Thats just what I need around here in the woods with no gun...

Picking up a camera next weekend. Hope to have it out in the woods shortly there after.
