Show up during the sports seasons then you might get bored while you're at the beach.

Not my fault the front office blew up the whole roster, save Freeman and Simmons. They mailed it in; why can't I?
And don't get me wrong: I'm not anti-Braves or anything. I'm just not invested in them this year. I'll watch a game every now and then on TV when there's nothing to do, but I knew and you knew going into this season what the plan was: just get by with as few longterm injuries as possible so we can rebuild the club with farm talent by the time the new park is opened.

Just when I start thinking 10rc fans are the biggest trolls. Arky trying hard not to give up the top spot.

That's your choice, I just wish we could fill a stadium even when we suck like the cubs, Yankees and Red Sox. Cubs suck every year and fans still pack the park. That's what should happen IMO. If georgia sucked you'd just stop going? To me that's what makes a fan, someone who goes and cheers when they're good or bad.

No doubt I knew what the plan was but I've still been to 6 games so far this year, and will continue to go any opportunity I get. But I love baseball and everything about going to the park.

That's a little bit easier for those clubs, though, as Fenway and Wrigley have ~10k less seats than the Ted and all are in more fan-friendly areas of their respective cities than the Ted has ever been. The Braves were never going to be in a position to consistently pack out this stadium for anything other than postseason play. It's simply too much of a hassle to access and it has no redeeming qualities outside of the team itself. With the new park, I can about guarantee that the nearby students at Kennesaw and Southern Poly, plus the suburbanites will keep that thing packed out almost nightly. Many of my friends have already started purchasing season tickets at the Ted in preparation for buying full packages at the new place.

Like I said, I'm not anti-Braves. But major league baseball constitutes an unnecessarily long season. After the first couple of months, it's just not worth watching a team playing sub-.500 ball save for the times I'm at a bar and they're on or there's nothing on at home. It's not like college football with the handful of games you get a year. The Braves certainly aren't like UGA with an entire unique city and institution built around the celebration of its athletics.
This is why I think the new park is being built; the Braves are just stale. They need new blood, a new look and feel. I'm not a huge fan of the look of the new park (I think it lacks anything representative of GA or ATL other than a bunch of 400 office buildings) but at least it presents an opportunity to actually want to go to games again. Atlanta as a city has been much the same way, but the Ted is just too far from the growth happening in Midtown and around Centennial to benefit from it. I'm hoping that Ga State wins the bid for the vacant Ted and Fulton County parking lot spots so they can build their atheltics facilities down there.

Like I said, I'll go if offered the tickets. Hell, my wife and I spent the "honeymoon" after our wedding at a Braves game in custom brave shirts. I enjoy going, but I'm just not willing to spend money on something that I don't think the ownership even believes in right now.

UFC is year round. But I do miss the World Cup from last year.
Baseball sucks anyways and haven't watched it in decades.
