Brings LSU up to 12 commitments and the #5 class via 247 composite.

That is a good looking 3* offer list.

I think Oregon just offered last week. He has the lowest composite score of any SDE offered to date. I looked at the offer list and could care less about his composite score.

So LSU is taking 5 DEs...I know I read several times he was 5-6 on the pecking order

Honestly nobody seems to know how many we're taking mainly due to not knowing what type of defense we'll be running after this year (or this year for that matter). A lot of guys our fans would assume would be DEs in years past (the 6'4" 225 guys) are now likely to be OLBs if we're moving to 3-4. Chavis liked the smaller ends and that's what we're used to. Andre Anthony is a good example. When he got offered last week and Roddy didn't, many assumed Roddy may not get the offer. But, he did obviously so I bet the staff views Anthony as an OLB.
Either way, we're taking a shite load of defensive players this year. Possibly as many as 17.

He was, but I'm guessing his performance this weekend at camp changed the coaches' minds. Good for him for working hard for what he wanted.

LSU just offered Sci Martin as well, not sure if he's a DE more so OLB possibly

6'4", 220 lbs, most likely an OLB play.

That makes sense. He looked perfect for a 3-4 defense, which is why Oregon offered. He is a rangy athlete that can play anywhere depending on how he fills out his frame.

Andre Anthony and Caleb Roddy have really blown up in the last month or so, Roddy even received an invite to The Opening.
