LSU with 47 National Team Championships, most in SEC!

LSU's SEC Championships
With the 2015 Men's Golf National Championship, LSU has won a total of 47 team National Championships, including 43 NCAA-sponsored national titles. That total ranks as the seventh-highest total in the nation.
The following is a look at LSU's championship history both nationally and at the conference level.

LSU and Arkansas were around before the NCAA started, so there are champions that aren't on that list.
But for the sake of argument that list is as good as any for determining COMPARISON.

Michael Bonnette, LSU's Sports Information Director, said that LSU was going for its 47th title today regarding the Golf team. I wonder why there is a discrepancy.

There are 3 in football and one in basketball that LSU recognizes, but the NCAA does not officially.
