The Junction is a better experience than the Capstone. I encourage anyone who claims to be a Bama fan to explain why I am wrong. My guess is most Alabama fans haven't actually been to a game at BDS.

Most fun roadtrips from my experience:
1. Tuscaloosa
2. Cola
3. Como
4. Nashville
Worst:
1. Auburn
2. Knoxville
3. Lexington
There's good and bad with everywhere. I'm higher on Cola than most and lower on Athens than most.

Gainesville. The permanent opponent scheduling is bullshite when the other teams get to go to Athens, Nashville, Knoxville, etc

What are your thoughts?
That "The Grove" is the most overrated thing in sports.

Least favorite was Florida. The drinking laws suck. I've heard if you know where to go and what to do it can be fun though.

Actual gamedays at Arkansas aren't that great. Dickson is cool but tailgating in Fayetteville is some of the worst in the SEC

Back in the 80s visitors to Gainsville had to sit on old 2X4s and were not allowed to stand during the game.

Just means you have never been. No one has ever gone and said that. There is a reason its a "must do" by so many people outside the SEC.

When you go to Athens the toothless thUGA fans throw beer at you and their stadium smells terrible.
In Baton Rouge that's considered a courtesy.
Throwing empty beer cans is a sign of contempt.
Take care when catching beers, however, the yellow liquid therein may not be fresh beer. This could also be considered a sign of contempt.

The grove may be great for Ole Miss fans, but not that entertaining for opposing fans I've found...
I thought it was boring, but I know I'd love it if I was an Ole Miss person.

I have never had a bad time at any SEC stadium, outside of losing at a couple of them.

Been twice and wasn't blown away like some make you believe will happen.
I would probably agree with the poster above and say it's much better for locals which is why you can't understand why others think it's overrated.

MSU had a pretty cool environment when I went there last year, but it was the biggest game in their history, so I doubt it is usually like that.

Ole Miss fans cheering when Johnny went down left a bad taste in my mouth. Pretty classless.
Bar scene is pretty fun though even though everyone packs one bar

I've never had an experience where I'd even classify it as "worst". I've had fun everywhere I've gone. Usually, there's probably nothing wrong with the venue, there's probably something wrong with you.

I've never had a bad experience on the road so far. All fan bases, including 'Bama's, has their few fans that act out and be idiots. The best tailgating by far is at LSU. Great food, in '12 they had a few bands playing, and cool fans.
9 times out of 10, if you're not an a-hole, you won't get any shite. The only time I've ever had any trouble was in Baton Rouge after the '12 game. Outside of the 'Bama band playing rammer jammer, that stadium couldn't have been any quieter. All I got was a "frick you" from a drunk student. Georgia fans are pretty cool to drink with also.

Columbia is not exactly the most fun place by itself, but the fact that the stadium is off campus and in the middle of a sketchy area, really takes away from what a gameday in the SEC should be.
What a stirring observation that has never been brought up on the Rant before.

In my opinion, the worst has to be South Carolina. Columbia is not exactly the most fun place by itself
