They are both going to be good. Eye test suggests Chubb looked best and stats confirm it. Let's watch their careers since they will both be around the same time.
A good old Bo vs Herschel happening here, it's going to be fun to watch.
Best assessment yet. And, I think, just like Bo Vs. Herschel, we will all be arguing who the better back is when it is all said and done. They are both that good.
I get what TwoBits is saying, though. Based on 2014, Chubb has to be considered the better back. I suspect perception will change when Chubb's carries drop a bit and Fournette's pick up a bit. Like Rocky said...it will be fun to watch.

I just don't see it with Fournette.
Chubb, yeah. He is amazing. Has the potential to be one of the best ever. He can pretty much do it all.
Fournette still has a lot to prove IMO. He is a good downhill runner, with better than average speed, but he isn't that versatile of a runner.
He didn't look anymore impressive than TJ Yeldon when he was freshman(granted, TJ Yeldon was awesome his freshman year, but no one was talking about Bo or Herschel in regards to him.)

Chubb plays in the East, LF in the West............West > East.

Well, Fournette got 5 touches for 9 yards and Chubb got 31 for 210. Not the best barometer.
I didn't get any touches. Guess it's possible I'm better than both then!
If LF didn't get many touches against Arkansas in a 17-0 loss it's because Arkansas had him handled and your coaching staff knew it. Unless your argument is that your coaches had their heads so far up their arses they had the best RB in the SEC who would have crushed Arkansas had they just fed him the ball a little more, and simply decided not to.
Or maybe his less than 2 yards per carry had something to do with it.
Now I'll hang up and watch you go full 'tard in your response.

Could you possibly show that you know less about his skillset? It'd be tough but you can give it a go.

Pointless thread
Fournette is not even #2
J Will is!

Fact is though, when you have a back as good as Chubb (or lf), they SHOULD get most of teh carries.
Absolutely. if you have a great running back and you don't let him carry the ball, what good is he? I mean...I think Chubb only got 27 or so more carries than Fournette. It's not like he carried the ball 200 more times.

LF will drafted before NC. He's better.
Heard that a lot about Yeldon going before Gurley as well. Didn't happen but it made people feel better I guess.

I am willing to admit that I'm wrong if you provide some video evidence of your claim that his skill set is more diversified than that...

Some of Chubbs best work was vs 2 West teams.

On the other hand, we jizz in our pants if Les lets LF get to 20 carries
One of your losses Miles only let Fournette carry the ball 5 times, right? THAT should concern you more than anything. Chubb carried the ball 39 times (I think it was) once. That was because everybody was hurt. He was pretty much the only healthy back we had.

Outside of the white guy everyone thinks is good but averages about 4 yards a pop.

Leonard Fournette vs Arkansas:
Carries: 5
Yards: 9
Avg: 1.8
TDs: 0
Long: 4
Nick Chubb vs Arkansas:
Carries: 30
Yards: 202
Avg: 6.7
TDs: 2
Long: 43
Gonna have to go with Chubb. Even Les Miles didn't trust LF when they played us

You're using a game in which LF had 5 touches while Chubb had 31 to compare the two. I think you've got the full 'tard part of this discussion covered.
If you want to make a point, why not use the UF games for each player?

I'd rather let you wallow in your ignorance, to be honest.

LSU had a shuffled O-Line against Arkansas and starters were out. Not sure what UGA's situation was.
LF still wouldn't have put up the stats that Chubb did vs. Arkansas, but it most certainly factored into his stat line.
Again, as I said earlier, Chubb had a better season. Period. I'm not ready to say he's an unquestioned better back though. Both are extremely good and their overall careers will say who is better.

He just finished his true freshman season in which he broke the LSU freshman single season rushing record. And yet you act as if its completely unfathomable for us to think he might be the best back in the SEC.
Has LSU ever had the best RB in the SEC? And UGA has had at LEAST two RBs that ran for more yards as freshmen than your best. And Chubb with 27 more carries finished with 450 more yards than LF.

They both still have two yeas of college ball left though so lets she how it finishes out before we rush to make a definitive case.
This I can agree with.

I think we can all agree that Miles is the tard because he gave the ball to his best back five times

I like Douglas, too. But I would give the ball to Chubb over Douglas every time.
