His whole point is kinda dumb. You could pick every team apart like that. Everything is based off of assumptions. That's all we have in May.

where? Lawson if he's healthy, yes. but that's another assumption. Cowart isn't even on campus yet (another assumption). Who else are you claiming as elite talent?
Oh that's easy.
Lawson
Montravius Adams (effort is his issue, damn sho ain't talent)
Cowart
Davonte Lambert (seen him as high as the 8th ranked draft eligible DE for 2016).
That's 4 guys to rotate in that are elite. That's not even mentioning the countless other 4* and talented other guys we have like Justin Thornton, Dontavius Russell, Andrew Williams, Rasheed Kennion (3* but so far better than the 4* Thornton).

We haven't seen enough of him to know that yet.
I've seen him play several games in high school and i've had converstaions with coaches that have coached against him. Seen him play against Arky and saw him play the spring game.
where yall are getting this first round hype, I don't know. Explain to me how he is better than Brett Hundley and I'll change my mind.
and I don't consider it an insult to compare him to Hundley. It's not an assumption, it's a comparison based on having watched both of them play. Do you have a better comparison?

It's the same story every year with them.
8-5 (4-4)

Yep. Daunte Culpepper.

Is it the new defensive coordinator?
i think so. We were awful on defense last year.
Is it the new offensive style that is expected?
I GUESS JJ IS A MORE ACCURATE PASSER THAN NM, BUT WHO KNOWS IF THAT WILL RESULT IN BETTER PRODUCTION.
Not even trying to flame just trying to understand.
OK
Auburn was a goal line fluke leg break from going 3-5 in conference last year.
ALL TEAMS HAVE CLOSE GAMES EVERY YEAR. MANY NC TEAMS HAVE GAMES THAT ARE A PLAY OR 2 FROM A DIFFERENT RESULT. MAKES IT FUN TO WATCH A SEASON.

in limited time, he had 8 TFL, 3 sacks, 27 solo tackles and was double teamed nearly every snap he played. Again, his issue isn't talent. It's effort. I think we're hopeful Muschamp is the kick in the arse he needs.

Yep. I'd say 7 sacks without playing a whole year is pretty elite. At worst, top tier.

Does an Auburn thread even exist without hg being involved in it?
Posted on 5/5/15 at 2:59 pm to TTsTowel
Is this not a message board? Does an hg post not exist without TTsTowel right behind it bitching and moaning?
Was my post off base?

I don't think his coaches have seen enough to know what his ceiling is yet either. Your assumption is that you know what it is and you don't. We've seen him in basically one meaningful half so far and he was very good. That doesn't mean he'll be great though. We simply don't know yet.
I just find it odd that you keep talking about Auburn fans' assumptions when you're making a stone written statement in telling us his ceiling.

Did I upset you by calling out your obsession with Auburn?
I can't wait to see your next post, which will likely contain something about TTsTowel being insecure.

That's the thing....Gus needs an adequate D. That's all. We were far from adequate last season. Truth be told, we were far from adequate the season before. Muschamp's track record with D's has been established. His D's are quite a bit better than adequate.
On a side note....I think this O has the potential to be the most explosive O Gus has ever produced.

interesting choice. how much weight has Johnson put on? Culpepper seemed like a guy that needed to be in better shape. I don't think that's the case with JJ. Going into college he needed to get stronger, but I don't think he had any weight issues.
admittedly I didn't watch a lot of Culpepper in college. pretty sure he played at a directional Florida school (UCF?). Did Culpepper ever accomplish anything without Moss and Carter there to support him?

Where am I being upset at? Why are you derailing this thread?
Calling a spade a spade.

Is this where I post 41-7? That should suffice.

Make a response thread for it since you got butthurt over my post in this thread. This one is about Auburn, not LSU.

alright KK, fair enough. I've got you down as claiming auburn has elite talent across their DL. You put me down for JJ=BH. we'll see where those predictions get us come winter time.
Posted on 5/5/15 at 3:08 pm to hg
I'm butthurt? Why? I didn't even make a prediction.
41-7, BTW.
