What university would it be and why?

I'll go ahead and start, it would would have to be Mississippi State. They really are just useless when it comes to Academics and Athletics, they also probably live in the worst college town in the SEC. I pity them, they are occasionally relavent in Athletics but for the most part if they were gone no one would really care or take notice...just my opinion

what does the rant say?

You can predict how far you are into the offseason by these same threads every year. They are like the tRant offseaons sun dials.

logically it would be a school that wasn't crucial to either the heritage of the SEC or the bottom line. The temptation is to say one of the Miss schools because Miss is such a small state to have two schools from but both are a part of the history of the conference. Auburn and Alabama are both important members. I'd say Vanderbilt since a private university with a primary goal of education and research is frankly an outlier amongst the rest of the conference but they also have a historical place...

So. Nobody. Keep them all

Ole Miss. Going 50 years without winning a conference title in either of the major 2 sports should be an auto kick.

Arkansas. So we can finally go to the Big 12 where we belong.

Mississippi State.

Anything 'good' about them, like baseball, wouldn't be at the level it's at without the SEC dollar.

They're damn close to the fictional school from WaterBoy.

They're not a P5 institution. Not even remotely.

If there was no such thing as an aggy I would say Vanderbilt. But unfortunately there is.
