Never been to the Final 4, they have only made one Elite 8 in their almost 100 year history. Outdated arena. Most fans only care about football. etc.
Probably the 8th or 9th best job in the conference tbh.

Behind UK, UF, AR, and LSU at least.

I think this is fair. Anyone who remembers the Wimp Sanderson years remembers how good that program can be. They were the only team to hold Loyola-Marymount to a low score the year they were tearing it up in the tourney. I might place Missouri above them as well for total programs. Anyone who says differently is just being biased.

Have an up vote!
Alabama, historically is the 2nd or 3rd best program in the conference overall. Over the last 15-20 years, I'd put us at mid to lower tier.

lol wut? Maybe in 1980 before Florida started winning and other schools joined the SEC

We should fire our coach and hire someone to save this sinking ship.

He thinks regular season wins are more important than actual titles. How ironic is that coming from a Bama fan?

I think they're right outside of the three basketball powers - UK, Ark, UF
Next comes Alabama, UT and LSU. Programs who can be good but don't really have any basketball prestige.

Higher than South Carolina.

However, I believe Bama has the 3rd or 4th most wins in SEC BB history, and maybe the 3rd or 4th most NCAA appearances and victories? They may have the 2nd or 3rd most SECT titles also.
Not exactly sure - could be higher or lower....

If we're talking right now, I'd place the following teams in front of them (in no particular order):
Kentucky
Florida
Tennessee
Arkansas
LSU
Mizzou
Georgia
On the flipside of that, there's so much potential if they want to commit to improving facilities and trying to lockdown some of the talent instate.

Go look at two factors...
1. Number of SEC Championships (NOT SEC Tournament titles!) since 1975
2. Number of NCAA Ty appearances since 1975.
I think the bammers are definitely in the top half of the SEC given those two factors.

I think we rank anywhere from 4th to 6th place.
