Every ref makes questionable calls late in games. Welcome to college basketball.

Is every ref banned from calling games that involve three separate schools? Welcome to reality.

Mike Anderson called him out by name after the game.
The only reprimand he faced was the SEC telling him not to do so again.
No fine like had been done in year's past for coaches who did this.
Today it was released the SEC has prohibited Hampton from reffing Arkansas and Florida games.
There was way more to it than making bad calls, Florida's winning % was absurdly above the mean in games Hampton was on the crew while Arkansas's was absurdly below the mean in Hampton reffed games.
And, yes, stats such as the above is actually kept.
Tony Greene is the home team's favorite ref in the SEC, his road team winning % is well below the mean, but is that way for every road team in the SEC.

I remember when they suspended the whole football ref squad for a game when they handed the game to Florida.
That crew got suspended because they were wrong on personal foul/unsportsmanlike calls in back to back games.

Sorry guys, not a melt. Just posted what was put out. When the SEC goes as far as to not let a ref call games on 3 teams, that says a lot about that ref. sorry you cannot see that.
Would have posted even if it was another team.
If he is that bad he should not call any sec games.

Where was this announced and why so much attention on a call that wasn't even that bad or has something else happened to warrant such action?

His call decided the Arkansas/ Florida game two years in a row.
His calls were deciding factors against Arkansas in other games in SEC play and in the non-con since Pelphrey's firing four years ago.

The only bad call made for Arkansas was letting you in our conference.
If I was an Ole Miss person, I'd hate conference expansion, too.
You went from 10th in the league at everything, to 12th. Now, you're fricking 14th.
Poor Ole Miss.

Florida shot 25 free throws during this game. Arkansas shite 7.
The call in question at the end wasn't his to make. Ref under the basket waived it as a clean block....Hampton comes running from right in front of the FL bench and calls it a foul. Better angle I guess?
Anderson calls him out by name,,,,no fine.
SEC rules no more for him.
These are all just facts, No opinions. Draw your own conclusion. The league office clearly has.
Melt this in your mouth,,,,not in your hand.

I don't remember the exact location of all the refs on the court, but even taking it as you set it up does it really matter so long as it wasn't a bad call?
FWIW, I just watched a vine clip of the call. Whoever is standing right next to the play calls a foul as well.

It matters because
a) it was out of his "zone" and not his call to make
and most importantly
b) he didn't see the play as he had 2 players in his immediate sight line to the action with the ball.
which led to
c) a late whistle while the ref who was in the position to make the call was motioning all ball with his hands.

Here we go again....another Arkansas fan whining about officiating.

Watch the clip, the guy who called the foul could clearly see the action, not sure what you guys are talking about him calling it from the UF bench or his vision being blocked. I don't know if that is Hampton or not, but who whoever called it in the clip looked to be in pretty good position.

When the league office reprimands a ref like this, that ref is very clearly in the wrong. They don't do this unless there is a clear pattern of abuse. He is lucky he still has a job.

Where is the reprimand from the SEC, I've yet to see it posted anywhere?
