Auburn is the shortest team in the SEC and second shortest from a power 5 conference. Without Bruce we probable go winless in SEC play. Recruiting is going well, the fans are supporting the program. The future is bright.

Only dumbasses fail to realize the job Pearl has done this year. This team would have been 0-16 if Barbee was still the coach.

A lot of the criticism of Pearl this year reminds me of the criticism of Saban in 2007. At the time, I imagine that many people were just as cynical about how well Saban would do at Alabama. I'm not saying that the outcomes are going to be similar, and I don't see Pearl and AU playing for a national title (or even an SEC title) anytime soon. But the shortsightedness of the criticism is similar.
