Poor Les doesn't even know what day it is.

I don't get all the praise some are giving Bert. He is 10-15 in his first 2 years in the SEC.

Hope for Arkansas's sake he turns out to be the great coach you guys think he is.

Bert's buyout numbers are: $15.4 million from 2015-17, then $11.7 in 2018, $7.9 in 2019 and $4 million in 2020.

Paul Mainieri infrequently loses to Dave van Horn, that doesn't make Dave van Horn a better coach than he is, though. Food for thought.

What an awful comparison. DVH has been to a regional every year here and has been to Omaha 3 times here and twice at Nebraska

Bert is still fat, He needs to eat more grass.

But I would take Bert over Freeze who has done nothing at Ole Piss.

No. Les is a better recruiter, and for better or worse, has the quirky personality that keeps LSU in the news--the guy's got star power, not a bad thing to have in a league with Nick Saban in it. Les also picks up great assistants: Wilson, Chavis, Cameron, Orgeron. He attracts the kind of talent that can make up for his own deficits as a game day coach. That said, I like Bulimia; I said he was a great Hog hire from day one. I think he'll be the kind of 8-10 wins per year guy Hog fans deserve, and it wouldn't surprise me if Arky wins an SEC West crown sometime in the next 4-5 years. Make that 5-6 years.
I wish I were an LSU fan, as they are going to year in and year out, get better talent than will Arkansas. This has nothing to do with Miles vs Bielema, but LSU vs Arkansas. As for the coaches, I would take either one and be happy.

In 2012 Arky hired Bielema on a 6-year contract as $3.2 million per year. Before hiring him they offered Les Miles 5 years at $5.5 million per year. Arky was willing to pay Miles $2.3 million per year more than the guy they decided on. LSU chose to extend Miles with a raise to $4.4 million. I assume they could have hired Bielema for the same $3.2 million that Arky paid him. While your question is hypothetical, that pretty much answers the question if it was posed to the 2 AD's for whom that question was not hypothetical.
