Are you Bo Bounds? LMAO. The tool would not even mention LSU as in the hunt on Lewis...naming 4 other schools instead. You have always come across as overly arrogant and not very intelligent on here....I'm thinking you are Bo Bounds IRL.

Evan gon' be jackin it this time. No Lewis for y'all. Some players have intelligence and realize that State is only relevant once in a decade.

Pump the breaks, chief. Lewis decommitted from Alabama while on a visit at Mississippi State, and then committed to Ole Miss thereafter. This kid can't make up his mind. Ole Miss still has a very solid chance IMO.

You Mississippi fans kill me. Neither of you have won a SEC Championship in over half a decade, and you have 3 and 4 loss seasons and call it a magical year....and yet you think you guys are on the same level as an Alabama or an LSU. If a kid wants to go to a Mississippi school...it's either one of two things......he is from there and loyal, or $$. It damn sure isn't for tradition or future championships.

in all honesty, that's being nice. I'd say it's more like once in 20 years...and hell, it took LSU/Auburn/Arky and even Alabama being somewhat down for that to happen. They have bottom of the West talent....while better than a lot of schools, they will never have more talent that LSU/Bama/Auburn/A&M and even OleMiss......

But LSU is going to somehow make him a better recruiter than Freeze?

good god dude. Freeze had ONE good year, and some of those players he wasn't even responsible for. LSU has a MUCH BETTER recruiting staff than Ole Miss and it's not even debatable, except by fools like you.

you talk like you are some elite program that regularly brings in top recruiting classes and wins championships. You have ZERO championships in almost 60 years, and I believe you got lucky and had one top 10 recruiting class in the last few decades. Good god the ignorance/arrogance. It truly is unreal at Ole Miss. At least MOST State fans know who they are.

It's like you guys just don't look at who else is out there recruiting, or EVER use logic. Freeze had ONE good recruiting class, and a lot of that wasn't even due to him....yet you are in here talking about how GREAT he is. O was a lousy head coach, but he was a GREAT recruiter and left Ole Miss with abundant talent. That you can't even see that tells me all I need to know about you....that, and the fact that during the LSU/Ole Miss week....you were on here stating that LSU had no chance against what could possibly be the greatest SEC defense ever....and that LSU would not be able to move the ball...etc...etc........and you were arrogant about it and honestly believed it...tells us what we are dealing with in you.

During a recent in-home visit, Lewis snapped a picture of Frank Wilson holding his daughter with the caption, "A pictures worth a thousand words. #GeauxTigers"

LSU desperately needs young linebackers in this class and have remained a threat for Lewis throughout much of the process. He visited LSU for the Ole Miss game and even though he was committed to the Rebels at the time, Lewis cheered for the Tigers throughout the game.

Today's news isn't really all that surprising.

Lewis still has to head home on Sunday giving ole miss plenty of time to sweat Lewis. And before anyone says dead period, I'm aware it starts on Sunday but I'm not just talking about coaches. As an LSU fan, I'm optimistic but I won't believe it till NSD.

Not according to this.

Or this one

I have seen several articles that say Speaks went with Ole Miss when his phone call was not answered....I have not seen anything saying that LSU turned him away when he tried to commit. Why in the world would LSU pursue him so hard only to say "No thanks!" when he decides to go there?

Mind posting a link backing up your assertions?

I couldn't care less, actually...but I get aggravated when I see fan bases miss on a recruit and excuses come.
1. We didn't want him anyway.
2. Grades
3. He is trouble
4. We didn't have room
5. He tried to commit bu we decided we didn't want him.

Yes...that includes Georgia fans. Sometimes you get a recruit, and sometimes you miss.

The reality of the whole thing is that Ole Miss has been nationally irrelevant for decades upon decades, and only recently has made a significant push into the SEC arms race. But, that push has been of note, and if you look at the difference between the Boone and Bjork years, the progress has been astounding.

But I don't drink the punch, and know that likely the best Ole Miss will ever be able to do is what essentially Mike Price did at Washington State -- put together a team that makes a run at a conference championship every five to seven years or so. We won't ever be like Alabama, Florida, or Auburn. There will be no dynasties at Ole Miss.

As for LSU, Miles is the Mark Richt of the SEC West, consistently under-performing and bungling up opportunities since he won the national championship with Nick Saban's players. The truth is, LSU is not on the level of Alabama. Their coaching staff -- while excellent recruiters -- aren't as good as Alabama's. Your gameday coaching is atrocious; LSU fans know full-well that Miles will lose one (possibly two) games each year because of inexplicable, boneheaded playcalling.

And to that end, I suspect that the Gus Bus will achieve more at Auburn in a shorter duration than Miles will during his full tenure at LSU. Certainly Saban has at Alabama and Meyer did at Florida before he left. Ole Miss is not an elite program and never will be. But LSU is not an elite program either -- defined as a program that is in title contention every year -- so if we're going to talk about sipping the Kool-Aid, then I suggest you put the cup down as well.

I'm surprised he only made two commitments prior to NSD.
