Why do recruits say things like this knowing they're likely all not going to play at the same school. Can't remember the last "package deal" that actually came to fruition.

I'd be shocked if Cowart, Jefferson and Holland all end up at the same school, regardless where it is.

Bc they're young and impressionable teenagers who get wrapped up in the emotion of the visit.

They are all friends, all interested in some of the same schools and aren't all 3 playing the same position. Don't think it is a package per say but a selling point they like the idea of

Because they have every intent to at this moment. 1 outspokenly says we lead for him, another has most say we lead, and Big Cece has not talked much. Package deals mainly fail because they are not the best situation for all parties involved. AU could easily be be the best situation for these 3

1. We need a difference making LB
2. We needs pass rushing DEs or LBs in case we lose an elite one to injury again, not to mention we need production there.
3. Boom has the best relationship with all 3
4. Boom's D's produce
5. Boom gets kids in the league

I was thinking this earlier. Literally all 3 are at positions that could be in two deep as true freshmen on a team that could make a run at the SEC/NC titles. Lots of teams would love to take all three but not a lot of teams offer what we can in terms of a fresh slate defense with no positions locked down and tremendous need of talent across the board. The only other team that could offer what we can might be A&M with the addition of Chavis.

In terms of most notariety? Yes Mathematically? No, we have a number of low 4*s and low 4*s vary greatly from high 4*s. We need to shoot the moon with our remaining targets to get our mathematical biggest class.

If we get all that some are hoping for then mathematical means nothing because we will be getting some big time help at positions of need.

You make valid points. Just seems like we hear about kids every year talking about playing with a certain group of players only for all of them to end up at different places.
