Les Miles Appreciation Thread

Les Miles has done an excellent job of maintaining LSU as a program that can interfere with other teams' championship aspirations. Unfortunately, sometimes the other team is his own. Nonetheless, LSU is still a challenge that teams typically must overcome to win big.
Aside from 2011, Alabama has had to defeat LSU in order to keep their dreams alive. 2009, 2012, and 2014 Alabama would not have made the national championship if they had lost to LSU. 2012 and 2014 Alabama may have even lost the division.
The Saban Bowl is always a challenge, and it usually makes Alabama better; 2013 was an exception.
Anyways, this thread is about appreciating Les Miles. What other programs can admit that their team has been made better by facing Les Miles? LSU is the SEC's 2nd best program and is a winner despite a couple of less than stellar seasons (2008, 2014). LSU can serve as an example for programs that want to take the next step.
LSU is consistent. Variable playcalling and competent quarterback play are the 2 obstacles that have prevented them from enjoying more success. Both of those issues are easily fixable, but no program is perfect. Fixing those would make LSU near unbeatable. Despite the flaws, Les Miles has maintained LSU as the winningest FBS program since he arrived.
Les Miles should be appreciated for the tough competition he provides to the rest of the conference. Les Miles should be appreciated for his out of conference dominance. He has helped maintain the SEC's image as the best conference with convincing wins over the PAC 12 and Big East champions in 2011 along with many other OOC wins during the regular and bowl seasons.
He hired John Chavis, which is one of the greatest SEC hires of the past 5 years.
He provides us laughter with his quirky remarks and lovable personality.
He has made his coaching errors and drawn the ire of fans, but every head coach does. SEC fans come in and celebrate what this great man has done for the conference and your program.

Saban will be gone one day. And Bama will be back to the likes of Mike & Mike and Shula.

So you're already claiming the NC this year? Bama logic at it's finest.

Screw you.Don't worry about LSU. Just pray that Alabama can maintain after Saban retires.

I agree with nearly all of what you said but I'd like to see what each teams worst seasons were in the past 10 years. As frustrating as I was going 8-5 & 8-4 (hopefully 9-4), it's not near as bad as a team not making a bowl or going 0-8 in conference. Les may piss me off, but I like him and am fine with him here.
Appreciate the nice comments on our coach!

Les Miles may not be the smartest coach but he is a class act & seems like a really good man.
Couple examples of class that I've noticed - Finding and chasing down Dooley to give him a handshake and tell him good game after the 13 men on the field call... Handling Bobby Petrino's bitch arse with class after Petrino got butthurt & was taking it out on Les during the after game handshake...
