Has there ever been a more successful position change than Blake Sims?

Not counting transferring to another school and changing positions. One school whole career. Has any player ever had more success with a position swap than Blake?

The best swap would be this going to the Bama board

Johnnie Holland was a Quarterback, then an all-american ILB at A&M.
Jevon Kearse was a LB at Florida

I'm pretty sure Senquez Golson was playing on offense before he switched to defense full time.

This is Bama board material.
But, I wont deny what LANE KIFFIN did with Blake Sims is nothing short of incredible.

Robert Edwards started as a DB then moved to RB. He was well on his way to becoming a concensus all american and shattering some school records as well, until his ankle got shattered running down the sideline against UT in 1995. Still, he went on to have a pretty nice senior year and was the 18th overall pick in the 1st round of the 1998 NFL draft.

I give him props but it definitely helps to play on the team he plays on and have Cooper to throw to. The coaches also did a very good job of game planning around what he does best.

Jay Ratliff started as a tight end at Auburn and then he was moved to defensive line. He made 4 pro bowls as a defensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a key player on Auburn's undefeated team in 2004. His success blows Blake Simms out of the water

George Herman Ruth. Quit pitching and had a solid career as a fielder.

Frank Thomas switched from tight end to first base
I'd say that worked out pretty damn well

Perhaps not quite as successful as Sims, but AJ Derby was the Arkansas QB most of the year last year and has turned into a very good TE for the Hogs.
As for Hogs switching positions, the HDN years are littered with guys who played one position at Arkansas and then were standout pros at different positions. Jason Peters (Defensive Line in college, turned All-Pro OL in the NFL) and George Wilson (WR in college, turned All-Pro DB in the NFL). Also I seem to remember Jamaal Anderson started his career at Arkansas as a WR and became a standout DE for the Hogs and later the Falcons.
