6 players lost so far and counting, including a couple day 1 starters.

Spurrier really put Carolina in a tough spot by putting so much uncertainty on the program.

True. I love the guy and honestly hope to see him around into his 70's. He should come out and tell the world that he will die on the sideline.

He should just quit now. It's better for the program in the long run.

Right, even if that's the plan don't say it publicly.

Schools that have long tenured coaches really need a public HCIW for recruiting.

We go 6-6, get blown out by our rival, lose three games in which we had a double-digit lead in the 4th quarter, have the worst defensive squad since the Brad Scott era and finish dead last in the conference in almost every defensive statistical category.

Since the end of the season, we have fired no one from our defensive staff. We failed to even offer Muschamp the DC job. On top of all this bs, our coach then makes public comments that have caused six recruits to decommit, all in the period of less than one week.

So looking towards next year, we lose Mike Davis and multiple O-Linemen. Even worse, we could have a walk-on starting at QB. This doesn't even take into account our struggles defensively. We are fast approaching a dumpster fire it appears.

This whole situation illustrates, precisely I might add, why the University of South Carolina will never win an SEC Championship in football. I love them to death, but damn it's rough being a Gamecock fan.

Meh I'm just a fan anyway this isn't even that serious in my opinion. People around here are about to shoot there whole load as long as the defensive lineman don't cut and run Its all good since that was the basis of our defensive woes last season

This might be the break Stoops needs to move up in the SEC. For years, Kentucky usually was on about the same level as S. Carolina, Ole Miss and Mississippi St. and would win about as many as they lost to those teams, and could usually get 2-3 SEC wins a year unless they were just terrible. Spurrier's hire changed this and moved USC up. This is really a case of water finding its level, however.

I don't think we should throw away everything just to save a few recruits.

Maybe now Spurrier will only remain one year.

Yep, bad move by the OBC. Of course, 2-3 years of 6-6 seasons still equate to a lot of golf money.
