So we may possibly have the best arm in Auburn history next year with a wide receiver core that gives me hemorrhoids.
Am I overreacting? Who is gonna catch the ball. Davis in the slot, Stevens has dropped every crossing route he has ever been thrown too. This will be like 2010 when Kodi Burns plays and Jay Wisner. Jonathan Wallace will be out there running routes for JJ.

Melvin Ray for starters. I expect him to have a big season.

We don't have anyone to stretch the field. Maybe this Staples from UAB can contribute. I feel he is a must take.

Has Ricardo Louis declared for the draft?

Don't worry others will give you ample company.
I will add that yes it appears we will look light, but I will be concerned once I see how we look and play.

We don't necessarily need any speed burning guys. Just another Davin Adams that will make every catch he's supposed to. Surely we can find that between Ray, Walker, and Stevens. Add Louis as a do it all guy and Davis/Truitt in the slot and I think we can manage

I'm also not sold on our WRs. There's potential, but not many have proven to be consistent.
Our slot WRs will be fine IMO. Davis and Truitt have ability, and Davis has been clutch so far.
Our outside receivers are another story.
Ricardo struggles to catch the ball. Melvin looked decent, but was a blocking WR almost exclusively and isn't that fast. Stevens hasn't done much. Denson was never really that good. Burton got praise in the offseason and is tough, but doesn't have great speed.

I thought Louis took some steps forward this year. He was never targeted like Williams and Coates I felt. Can run a mean reverse lol

Davis is good. Every change he has had he has made the most of it.
We say glimpses of Ray the past few seasons but next year I think he becomes the guy. Especially since Johnson seems to favor him.
Stevens looks like a stud at WR but you are right in he has not done anything.
Louis improved as season went on but he is still a RB playing WR
I think Myron Burton can be a solid player as well.
Overall this group is not going to come close to the big play ability or athleticism of Coates, Duke and even Quan (who I think is leaving AU underrated for what he did at WR past 2 seasons). But I don't think it is talent devoid and we are doomed. Just don't expect as many SC top 10 catches

Stevens looks like a stud until the ball comes near him. Then he looks like a herpderp fest

THIS! he has probably had 6 crossing routes thrown to him. Caught 1, 2 got stuck in his facemask and the other 3 hit him in the nuts.

Is there a juco we can bring in?
Also, is there a recruit who could help next year?

It seemed like JJ was already developing a pretty good rapport with Ray.

Was it Stevens or Walker that had a nice catch and run early in the season? I think it was something like a 20 yard gain.

We don't have a Sammy or Duke but we do have some talent.
JJ throw a more catch able ball than NM.This is not a knock on Nick but he did throw lasers.
Ray will have a good year.
Louis will be better and can be the deep threat.
Davis is good.
Stevens I think will break out with JJ throwing the ball.
I think the RB will get more into the passing game also.
Throw in a couple of players coming on and we will be ok.

No TE either. I imagine we ride Davis and Ray

Walker hasn't ever played to my knowledge. Stevens looked timid on a few routes this year. He has potential to break out though

Lashlee called out Myron Button as having a great practice today.
Also said Tony Stevens has all the ability in the world to step up and be that next good receiver

I remember recruiting analysts comparing Tony Stevens to AJ Green because of body type and skill set...
This is his chance to assert himself into the starting lineup.
