1. Mariota
2. Gordon
3. Cooper
big gaps between 1, 2, and 3, book it.
Those are the only 3 finalists who will be in New York too.

This is basically a career achievement award for Mariota. One of the all-time great compilers of statistics.

It seems boring because this year ESPN has focused a lot of attention into the playoff projections rather than the Heisman projection.
They've gone full playoff committee scenario retard. Its literally all they talk about. Back in the BCS era, if #1 and #2 were obvious picks, they would just indulge themselves in Heisman talk. I expect them to go back to full Heisman retard once the playoff novelty wears off.

The whole playoff format has everyone's attention right now because it's in its inaugural season and everything so the heisman trophy has taken somewhat of a backseat right now.
I'd like to see Gordon win, frick Mariotta. Give it to a tailback for once.....

His non conference games:
2012
Arkansas State
Fresno State
Tennessee Tech
Bowl : beat 11-2 Kansas State
2013
Nicholls State
Virginia, Hoos went 2-10 last year
Tennessee, Vols went 5-7 last year
Bowl : beat 8-4 Texas
2014
South Dakota
Michigan State
Wyoming
Bowl?
He has played what 2 ranked teams his entire career outside of conference games and no ranked SEC teams. Will he be another guy that wins the Heisman then flops in the pros?

It least he's not out there raping (allegedly) co-eds, stealing crab legs, and yelling obscene "look at me!" things on campus.

Cooper is incredibly overrated. Should have better stats than he does, gets targeted about 20 times a game.
Mariota has put up incredible numbers and deserves it. He is far better than Manziel or Cam.
Gordon is only there because of his 408 yard rushing game, which was one upped. No reason for him to be in NYC.

I figured losing to Alabama AND Ole Miss would tone down your stupidity just a bit. I was wrong.
ETA: By that logic, no QB should ever win the Heisman, because look how many times per game the center targets the QB with the ball. You are laughably stupid.

He can't pick the QB.

Manziel and Cam did it against SEC defenses.

Closing in on the single season rushing record with over 8 YPC. OVER 8 YPC.

Incredible, so you can just target a receiver that many time and easily get 1500 14 td receivers and an 11-1 record playing in the SEC. Why are you not coaching?

I don't understand football. That's the one with a goalie, right?

This is the most over hyped award every year. Quit caring when Peyton was robbed.

1. Mariota has impressive numbers yes, but, have you checked out the numbers of some other pac 12 qb's? they are equally as gaudy. Cody Kessler from USC has almost identical numbers!
2. Gordon... again.. monster stats! and did have a nice game against the one sec team he played this year with 140 and a TD on 16 carries... but, again...have you seen all the monster running totals from backs in the Big 10? are they THAT good? or does anyone play any run defense in that league at all?
3. Cooper... This guy is the best player in college football IMO... he is a flat out stud and he does it against SEC defenses... and his numbers far overshadow his peers within his own conference..
I don't get a vote, but, if I did it would go for Cooper... just my .02

I really haven't followed the Heisman Trophy race lately. It has become almost a team event now, that to be looked at as the top college player, you must be on a team that is highly ranked.
Marriota, from Oregon wins this year, unless they lose to Arizona and Wisconsin beats Ohio St, then Gordon may have a chance.
