I like that we didn't piss and moan about it but kept playing our game which we knew would ultimately lead to a win. Thats how champions do it!

Specially, with just under 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter, and Auburn leading 33-27, quarterback Nick Marshall threw a third-down pass to Quan Bray, who was being defended by cornerback Bradley Sylve along the Tigers’ sideline.
After a lengthy review, the play was ruled a simultaneous catch, and first down for the Tigers.
However, Mike Pereira, the former Vice President of Officiating in the National Football League and current rules analyst at FOX Sports, claims the call was clearly incorrect.

Was that the play they reviewed after we had already run a play?

Is this the same guy that said "The ankle is a part of the foot"?

I wasnt worried at that point. Bama was a championship team in the second half.

You didn't piss and moan because you didn't know the rule.

Don't go there. I don't buy into ref conspiracy theories, but yall were the benefactor of quite a few spots in the first half.

I was assured that this guy was a fraud after he disagreed with the offensive PI call on Sammie Coates in the MSU game.

Most "simultaneous" possession calls are incorrect.
True simultaneous possession is very rare.
Normally it's clear who has the ball and who comes down first.

i didn't know the rule, but i thought our guy had possession ... auburn guy had one hand on it for most of the catch ... calls tend to even out over the course of a game, regardless of conspiracy theories ...
still nice to have the sec hq in bham ...

Who gives a shite? Alabama benefitted from several bogus calls by the referees and one these calls involving a missed illegal procedure penalty on OJ Howard was even called out by Jesse Palmer during the game

You mean the guy who says the refs are talking to league office on headsets
The guy who doesn't know college rules
The guy who openly admits that he doesn't know CFB rules completely

“Let’s look at the NCAA Rule Book, Part 2, under “interpretations” for the answer. Under the Completed Pass, Article 6, rule 7-3-6, section 2: Two opposing players receive a legal forward pass while both are off the ground, and one payer returns to the ground inbounds before the other. Ruling: No simultaneous catch. The legal forward pass is completed or intercepted by the player who first returned to the ground.”
I didn't know the rule.Evidently the Officials didn't either.
eta:It was a fast paced game.I don't think the officials influenced the game for either Team.

This dumbass did not even watch the play again. Possession was not establish while both player were in the air. The ball was rolling off Bray's shoulder pad until both players were on the ground. He is just trying to justify Fox paying him for his bullshite commentary. He missed it this time.

Yeah, which happens all the time.

Not as late as this one. They have stopped a play during a snap, but not after the play gained 9 yards or whatever it was...

Look at the replay, what Pereira is missing in when possession was established. It wasn't in the air (as he wrote in his article), it was after both players were on the ground. It just didn't fit his story, so he ignored that fact.
