No problem. I couldn't imagine anything like this happening to the University of Georgia, and how heartbreaking that would be to the entire community. Offering words of support is the least I can do to try and uplift some people's spirits on a day that can be so tough, for so many people.

I don't generally try and troll, but I would never in my life troll on a subject that is so tragic. I don't think a lot of people, especially in the SEC, understand how hard this tragedy was, and still is, on the Texas A&M community.

I will, and have, cheerfully poked the Aggies with a stick when I could. But never on this subject. It was a terrible day for the Aggies.

Thanks for your post. Bonfire for me was inseparable from my days at A&M, and then we lost 12 students because of it. Tough day, still.

Thank you Dawg and our new SEC friends for the kind thoughts.
A big thank you to the University of Texas Band.
It is a tough time for us.

I remember hearing about that, but forgot that 12 were lost. Just kids too - rest in peace.

There is a student led/run Bonfire that is still held off campus and is not officially sanctioned by the university. They'll be burning a bonfire this year the night before the LSU game.
Can anyone go to this?

A word to the wise if you or anyone is planning on going--leave to get there EARLY. My family used to live right around the corner from where they did burn and traffic will gridlock if you wait too long
