So I'm been following this mantra about how terrible the #1 team in the nation's defense is...
How each team is going to shred their #350th ranked passing defense each week (it's cute)...
and then I see this:
Auburn 35 Ole Miss 21
What happened?? State only allowed 23 points. The Landshark defense was supposed to be the very best in the nation.
Keep eating that grass sheep.

Our secondary has tended to play to the level of its competition. When we have needed them to step it up they have done so. The scheme seems to be to allow the opposing offense to have the middle of the field then stop them inside the red zone, which State does better than any other team in the nation.

Best red zone defense in SEC land. Stopped LSU and Arkys run in it's tracks.

I'm sorry to say this, but people with their hands on their heads claiming they are "land sharks" are idiots.

Team's rack up garbage yards on us at the end of games against our 2nd stringers (2nd, not 1B) & we really don't care. All we do is WIN.

Sorant, I give this alter a 6.8 on the 10 scale.

I don't think it really matters what the Miss State defense does because Ole Miss is either going to fumble or throw interceptions in the red zone anyway. The real question is, will Bo Wallace stick around until the final whistle in the egg bowl or will he already be in the locker room.
