What has Missouri ever accomplished of note in Football?

Id their greatest achievement making it to Atlanta in year 2 in the SEC only to give up 545 yards rushing in the game
Or would it be making it back to Atlanta in the worst East race ever only to get shutout by whoever they play?
It seems like their GOAT coach's 2011 DWI got more press than their miracle 12-2 season last year. Will they ever do something meaningful and fit in to the SEC?
So far as I can tell, their best conference win since joining the SEC is a toss up between a blow out win @ Vandy last year or last year's home win over A&M.

Looking back, I've always thought it was funny that they had that great season in like 2007 (first I'd ever really realized Mizzou had a football team), and people treated them like Northern Illinois. Just a novelty cinderella not to be taken seriously. I think that really sums up Mizzou football. They've actually had SOME success, but most people didn't notice and the ones that did didn't care.

We're inside your head...I consider that an achievement of the comical variety.

Probably beating Kansas in 07 and winning the Cotton Bowl.

They were the dominant football team in the Big 12 at its zenith.

We could win a natty, and your redneck arse would still find something to gripe about.
No one in our fan base that posts here gives a frick what you or your fellow necks think about our "fit" in the SEC.
Honestly, I think you guys are worried to death that a team from the Big 12 came in here and did a little damage so quickly. Yeah, yeah, the east was down last year.
If Mississippi State wins the west this season, is the west down?

Wow know your history jackass
1) Don Faurot was one of the most innovative coaches in football history. While coaching Mizzou he invented the Option.
2) One of the top programs during the 60's, Dan Devine is a College Football Hall of Famer not just for his coaching at Norte Dame
3) Claim 1960 National Title ala Bama style

Fit into the SEC. Going to ATL is fitting in just right. There's been SEC East teams that's never been to Atlanta. Sheesh what does Mizzou have to do to fit in, win the SEC???

"We were really horsewhipped. We had a lousy defense. We did not expect anyone to run down the field on us like they did, like they were playing a barber college. They toyed with us like children....They beat us every way known to man. They out-everythinged us. We were really fortunate. The Tigers deserved to beat us by more points than they did." - Crimson Tide coach Bear Bryant after his Alabama team was thrashed 35-10 by Mizzou in 1968, the worst loss for Bryant in his 11 year Alabama career to that date.
"All in all, it was a good ol' country beating. I think we were fortunate not to be beaten worse." - Bear Bryant after his Alabama Crimson Tide were yet again prison raped by Mizzou in 1975, plummeting to a 20-0 halftime deficit in Birmingham on their way to a 20-7 loss to mighty Mizzou.

Missouri is not a powerhouse, but compared to the other newbies…for all the shite A&M fans have talked about their imaginary potential and wallet that are as real as a Unicorn, Missouri has BY FAR accomplished more.
Not only in the SEC, but was it '07 they reached their Conference championship ranked #1 or #2 in position to play for it all? A&M has never even sniffed a position like that.
