I would not be surprised to see Kyler Murray start against ASU next year

If for no other reason than he can score lots of points with his legs alone.

I'm still not sure he will be playing in aggieland next year.

But yeah, he will be the starter if he does. But he won't be a midterm guy so who the frick knows.

I'm just hoping we play football next year after what's going to happen the rest of the year.

IMO, Kyler will look at our QB situation and legitimately believe he could start from day one.

He probably will but but to be fair to the kid the o-line was pure shite and Spavital did him no favors w/the playcalling.

At least he makes quicker decisions w/the ball than Hill and is actually willing to throw downfield.

Can't really argue with that.

Problem is that he could do that other places as well. I'm hoping his loyalty to Aggieland runs deeper than he lets on.

I guess I'm the only one who likes what Allen brings to the table. He's making freshman mistakes but that will be improved after another off season.

Hell, at this point I'll be thrilled if he signs. With our shitshow lately it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he went 1st round MLB or signs with Oregon (or whoever). If he DOES become an Aggie, I'd expect him to win the starting job pretty damn quick.

Kyle Allen has a very good arm. Probably one of the best we've seen come through Aggieland in a while. Unfortunately his decision making is a bit off. I don't know if its the adjustment from HS to SEC or if he likes to take bigger risks to find big plays. Either way I'd like to see how he stands up against better competition. I don't expect him to be good against Auburn, but his composure throughout the game will tell us a lot about his potential.

*As a side note, you kind of have to wonder how our bad defense could be playing a part in his slow development. Going up against Snyder's defense at practice must be a joke.

Sumlin And Spav were probably convinced they were watching a battle between Joe Montana and Peyton Manning

I don't think Murray should start against ASU. Why break in another true freshmen when Allen is showing promise enough? It's not like Murray is going to make the OLine better or the WRs get separation.

Until Allen shows the same kind of buffoonery Hill did with throws, I'm not for taking him out to put ANOTHER True Frosh in.
