Honest question. How much time does he have left in Columbia?

I don't care for Spurrier. I imagine I would like him if he was the coach of UA, but his constant pot stirring annoys me a bit. I suppose I was really a fan of CFB back when he was winning stuff, so he just comes off as petulant to me.

He irritates me sometimes, but then he beats somebody good and I forget it for a while.

At least he doesn't sing Rammer Jammer after wins. So in my book he's still has more class than the Gumps.

Queue the "Frick Sourrier" CNB melt.

I can only speak for myself but yes, I respect him as a coach.

As someone from the Midlands in SC I would say he could coach forever. What he has done for USCe is special and they are long way from not being satisfied with double digit wins and beating their rival more than their rival beats them.
My life fits the timeline of Auburn maturing out of this and I believe USCe has a ways to go.

How could any SC fan not like Spurrier after what he's done for this program? Of course we do.

Hopefully they continue to evolve as a program. Clemson fans can be annoying as shite. USC fans, except for the northern transplants, are pretty modest about their expectations.

The singing of Rammer Jammer is a time honored tradition. A tradition built upon mutual respect and dignity of our fans and those of our opponents. Opposing fans revere it, Bama fans embrace it, the CFB world is in awe of it!! Those words are sacred to millions and millions of people around the world. On par with such traditions as lighting the flame before the Olympic games.
If you ever utter that blasphemy again I will have no choice but to begin the paperwork for your immediate and permanent ban from this site.

What does that even mean.

I have a time honored tradition of hurling piss balloons at passing Bama fans. I'm sure you will be fine with that, since it's tradition and all.

His ability to build the Gamecock program has been top notch. Gameplanning and playcalling are elite when he's focused but he only brings it 2-3 games a year.
What I am impressed with is the quality of the character of student athletes since he has stepped on campus. He treats the institution with respect and demands it from his players.
When he originally came to SC, I thought my opinion of him would be based on wins and losses but his presence at the institution has grown based on his character and the players he graduates.
I hope that whomever succeeds him treats the program and instution with the same respect. This opinion may not be what some are expecting, as many like to focus on the zingers.
He's great for college football and a true legend. He's driven me crazy with some batty decisions -- 2 timeouts before punting to TN last year, Smelley/Garcia every other play QB carousel, etc. -- but he's made SC football fun, competitve, and respectable.

Lucky for y'all ... y'all will forever have Garcia to fall back on huh?
16-6 ... but at least you have Garcia.

Garcia's problems over the years are small compared to an average week in Athens.
Guy with a drinking problem. If that's the worst thing we had, bravo to Steve and the administration.
