Maybe we should focus on, you know, not letting Penn State off the hook instead of crying over a guy stepping on someone.
Oh, I agree. But I have no affiliation with Pennsylvania State University. I think its horrible that they were let off the hook.
The Faculty Senate at Florida State is going to demand that the President of FSU do something about Winston, or be faced with a faculty ready to oust him. I suspect Winston is on a very short leash.

You are making this a wayyyy bigger deal than it really is.

I'm not a fan of either team involved but it's hysterical how badly this whole thing has been blown out of proportion.
Paging Devonte Harris... Mr. Harris, line 1.
Not out of proportion at all. Harris' injury wasn't intentional (happened in practice), and he missed the first 3 games. The two LSU players were lucky.

You should have just left FSU and Penn State out of our your OP altogether.
It distracts from your point and as you already admitted those situations are not even remotely on the same level (rape accusations, child molestation).

Assume what you must blowhard. I'm not signing anything. You are the one trying to get attention here not me. Knock yourself out.
Interesting. Is society in such decay that any act of good morals is considered attention whoring?
I truly feel this way - many others do as well. I'm just on the SEC Rant.

You are writing a letter to our President. I found that interesting. Hey if you are that passionate about this you should.
You are making lots of new friends. That take every opportunity to piss on State in every way. I just find it interesting you felt the need to bring it here. What were you hoping to gain?

I think fans need to stop being giant vaginas.
Yeah.. its not like what Dillon Day did could potentially cause internal bleeding or neck injury..

Hold up there for a minute... I've been vocal in my support for anc here but when have I EVER slammed MSU? Never. That's when. While I'm sure LSU fans are the ones getting your goat on this plenty of other fans who have no issue with MSU have agreed with anc.

I'm not pissing on State. I just choose not to support repeated* thuggish behavior, no matter what color the thug wears. If that's pissing on State, you have a problem, sir.
* - Repeated: more than once. Dating back to West Monroe. If it makes you feel any better I'll put some of the blame on his Louisiana trash up bringing.

I meant your opposing SEC fanbases I.e. LSU fans

I applaud the sentiment. And after further review - the stomping appears intentional, and therefore deserves discipline.
However, I don't feel it was just a selfish act. If you rewatch the game, Day clearly sees an LSU player try to bend the MSU player in half after he was tackled. It was intentional and probably out of frustration. Could have seriously broken the kids back. I think seeing this this triggered a retaliation/ anger response from Day. Not condoning it, but adding some context...

I agree. He's doing his time for what he did and I would really hate to see someone go after him and break his leg or his neck or end his career in some other way

Sure you're allowed to have an opinion but I don't think that just because the the rant can be awful that we should be too (I realize I'm in the minority on that). And from a practical standpoint (if you're worried about the shitty behavior of a lot of posters) it takes the wind out of them if you criticize behavior like this yourself.
Just sayin'

Exactly - in the world we live in, a game played by 18-22 year olds should be way lower on the priority list for a lot of us - myself included.
The post was promoted by reading opinions on this and other message boards all day, then listening to callers on local sports radio defending this Louisiana trash.
And just so you don't think I'm "kissing up" to the LSU fans - any LSU fan (or Auburn) that supports their recruitment of Jonathan Taylor needs to think about this as well.

I just find the whole thing hypocritical and seeing one of our own take up the torch for everyone to jump on kinda smarts.
All I got.
All I got.
