I think fans need to stop being giant vaginas.
Takes no courage whatsoever to write it off as just a mistake, accidental, or simply go with the status quo (close ranks and support your guy regardless of what he did - police do that shite all the time).
In contrast, it takes juevos to say your player got what he deserved or was out of line.

It's not just MSU. Florida State fans defend Winston and in the most vile case, Penn State fans defended what went on there. We have to stop, people. Stop defending bad behavior because they wear your team colors.
I cannot disagree with this. Sports are a big part of many people's lives but we need to remember to resist becoming a cult of sports. Penn State is the worst example out there but it's valid.
It's true that you can be very proud of Dak and your team yet ashamed of this Day idiot. Solid post.

I hope this is sarcasm because I wouldn't compare someone in the heat of the action doing a couple of stomps to what Winston has done nor Penn State?
I'm not a fan of either team involved but it's hysterical how badly this whole thing has been blown out of proportion.

No, and I meant to put that - what Day did is no where close to Winston and not on the same planet as Penn State.
The common denominator is that we as a society, and as individual fan bases, are quick to criticize behavior like this from other teams, but if they are on our team - we defend with fervent passion.
Got to stop. I am writing a letter to Mark Keenum criticizing the university's lack of discipline here. The SEC shouldn't of had to suspend him.

You are writing a letter to Keenum? Seriously?

And people get shocker when players who are unable to control their actions in the heat of the moment end up beating kids, wives, etc.
When people make mistakes they need to live with the consequences.

The university is more important than its football team. I am disappointed in the leadership. I am writing a letter stating my disappointment.
Go sign an online petition that makes MSU fans look like shitheads if you must.

Maybe we should focus on, you know, not letting Penn State off the hook instead of crying over a guy stepping on someone.

Assume what you must blowhard. I'm not signing anything. You are the one trying to get attention here not me. Knock yourself out.

I agree with this but you can't be surprised that fanatics, aka fans, suspend the ability to draw rational fact based opinions about their own team and conversely rapidly jump to conclusions about other teams.
Day got a fair suspension. In the future, I'm sure he'll be more careful about where his feet accidentally land.

We haven't heard from anyone at MSU yet other than Day so it seems a little premature to jump to conclusions about what Mullen or anyone else at MSU was going to do, if anything, had Slive not acted first.
