Is the West just taking advantage of preseason polls or is it again much better than the East? Texas A&M already has a quality win but Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama and Auburn all haven't done much. Georgia and South Carolina have already started eating each other alive and Florida just had to fight off a Kentucky team that looks much better than they have in the past.

As an unbiased fan, YES the SEC West definitely looks much better than the SEC East. Arkansas would only lose to Georgia, SCAR, and maybe Mizzou from the east while Georgia/SCAR would beat Arkansas, State, maybe Ole Miss. I see Georgia/SCAR beating only one out of these four: Bama/Auburn/LSU/Tamu at the max.

It only seems like we're bad because we're retooling for our next mega run...like Germany after WW1 or Russia in the 90s.

Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, and Ole Miss are in the AP top 10. The only two East vs West games we've seen thus far are Ole Miss demolishing Vandy (who cares?) and Texas A&M completely embarrassing South Carolina.

As of right now-- yes, the West is better.

Why dont we just play the fricking football games and let this stuff sort itself out? How hard is that? Crack a cold one and move to the OT board where you belong.

The East is a joke, just like UGA. UF is a has been and USC is perennially overrated.

The best team in the East is probably Mizzou....again. Nothing against them but come the hell on.

Teams that would be front runners to win the East that Play in the West....Bama, Auburn, and A and M. Teams that would contend for and probably tie for the East title....MSU, Ole Miss, and LSU.

Seriously....EVERY team in the West could win the East. The West is a meat grinder.

Teams from the East that could win the West....none.

Well you watched A&M destroy SC right? Then SC beat UGA. With the small sample size to date and the fact Vandy is terrible I am going to say yes.

A&M over USC aside, I think it's way too early to tell. Right now I almost kinda sorta agree with the rest of the SEC-hating country: the SEC plays plenty of tough teams in the SEC who play all those other tough SEC teams, who MUST be good because they're in the SEC. Or something. I actually DO believe the SEC is that tough and the SECw in particular, but until more games are played it's just a crap shoot.

Yes the west is that much better. You have 5 sec west teams that could beat any team in the country(Bama, LSU, Auburn, A&M, and ole miss). The east has , maybe 3 ( UGA and South Carolina, and UF)
