Can you really fault Franklin for going to Penn St?
It's hard to say where exactly Penn St sits in the pantheon of historic football programs, but they are in it. Vanderbilt is not.

Even as Vol fan I've always liked Franklin for some reason. I'll be rooting for him when they play Corch Irvin Meyers.

Yes, because Rutgers is the bastion of integrity. I hold no ill will towards Franklin. He gave Vandy football fans something to cheer about. That's better than nothing, no? Regardless, Penn State has been purged of all that were responsible, case closed.

Nothing. They overstepped their bounds and should have been blackballed by the Power-5 after they sanctioned Penn State.
If anything, Penn State deserves admiration on some levels for how they handled the whole situation. If that happened at Auburn, it's doubtful we'd sit back and take what the NCAA was giving us.

The recruits probably didn't commit to Vandy, they committed to Franklin. It's laughable if anyone thinks they were going to stick with Vandy. He just did what he is paid to do. Recruiting has never been a gentleman's game.
